UniBarter is a proposed grocery delivery service for college students run by other students. It aims to provide a convenient solution for busy students who need groceries delivered. The service would allow students to order groceries through a mobile app, with other student drivers shopping and delivering the orders. With over 17 million college students in the US and average monthly spending of $120 per student, the potential market is large. A pilot survey of 100 students at the University of Texas at Dallas found that 75% would be willing to work for the service and 67% would be willing to use it. The founders estimate that capturing just 2% of the total student market could generate over $2.4 million in monthly revenue.
