A second disadvantage of Offset lithography is materials are complicated to use. A third advantage of Offset lithography is it sharps and cleans the images. A third disadvantage of Offset lithography is it takes up a lot of time setting up at first such as the factory etc.

- #3 Firstly we have to have all the necessary equipment; Lino, roller, paper and tracing paper, lino cutting tool, laminate paper, wooden spoon. Next we had to make a drawing, we had to take it off Google images and draw it out onto paper then transfer it onto tracing paper, while doing this be very careful and do not rush otherwise you will ruin your design and will have to start all over again. When you have finished this process sellotape down the tracing paper onto the lino to ensure that it doesn’t move while sketching out your design. Whilst sketching press hard onto the tracing paper so that when you’re redoing the lines onto the lino it will be easier as you will only have to follow the lines and will not miss any gaps out.
- #4 After sketching it out we need to cut onto the sketch with the lino cutting tool we can either use a V or U cutter. The V cutter is used for sharp lines and the U cutter is used for blunt lines. We need to cut quite deep so when we paint it and transfer in onto the paper it will come out properly otherwise there will be gaps in the design. We need to keep our hand away from the lino cutter otherwise we will cut our hands and it will hurt a lot, make sure your hand is behind the tool rather than in front of it, so there is no chance of our hand getting cut.
- #5 After this process we can choose any ink paint colored spread it out with the roller we also had to make sure that we spread it out evenly so when we transfer it onto the lino there will be no blank gaps. after this we flipped the lino around onto the paper and tapped around evenly with a wooden spoon for the sketch to come out onto the paper or we could have used a clean roller and roll around the paper again evenly, however while doing this try not to move the lino or the paper otherwise it will ruin the design and the ink will go everywhere, slowly remove the paper from the lino and there is the design you made.We had to wear aprons to ensure that the paint does not go onto our clothes otherwise it may be hard to use.

Because of the chemical the ink will only stick to the mage area where the chemical is applied this rejects the water, the plate is then rolled onto a rubber cylinder whilst applying the ink area and in turn the rubber cylinder which transfers the image to the paper.

The drum will then selectively collect charged toners which will transfer the image to the paper the paper needs to be heated to permanently fix the image. The laser beam is from an aluminium gallium arsenide semiconductor laser, which develops the image to the page so it prints on the electric charged rotating drum which is covered with selenium, these days it is more common to use organic photoconductors, this allows the charge to leak from the exposed areas to the light.The powder ink particles are then electrostatically selected from the drums charged areas, this is not visible to the laser beam.Finally the drum prints the images directly to the paper from contact and heat, this fuses the ink to the paper.
