System consists of three closed pad printing machine with two caps printing on each machine, cam rotary index table, three IR dryer, three 120° caps rotation, auto unloading, pads, Plates and fixtures. Printing capacity is 3,600 caps per hour.
As they say, the devil is in the details and it’s no different when prepping and planning for a crane delivery or set-up. In this presentation, Mr. Koberg covers the three factors affecting the size of the crane mat or outrigger pad and provides necessary evaluation tools for sizing mats or pads.
Speaker: Kris Koberg, DICA Outrigger Pads
The Pathway to Profitability through inkjet printing. The applications of inket printers in the modern world and case studies of businesses improving the customer experience with in house printing.

Understanding Print Techniques
1.
2. • The first thing I had to do was to draw out my sketch so I chose a knife to draw
3. • The next day I was in a room filled with lino cutters and ink.
4. •
•
I sat down and was given a piece of lino to copy my drawing onto.
I was then given a piece of tracing paper to copy my drawing from the pad to
the piece of linocut.
5. I used sello tape
to make it more
stable.
I placed the tracing
paper over my pad
and traced the
image.

piece of lino cut.
18. Why use laser printing?
Advantages and disadvantages:
Editor's Notes
I had to place the tracing in reverse so it can show the right way when the ink is applied. After the tracing paper was all tapped I went over it and this can be done either by going over the lines or shading over them.
Now then I started to cut the image on my lino.I used a V cutter for this job because they create thin lines and are more accurate in creating detail. However the U cutters can be used for cutting away a big space in the piece of linocut. After cutting away the lines I would take the cut piece over to a table where the inking process would begin.
Now then I placed my linocut piece on the table and I grabbed a roller with my right hand and rolled in the ink until the roller was filled with water based ink. After it was filled I rolled onto the linocut piece until it was covered.I had to make sure the ink was the right amount, how I could tell is by the lines in the linocut, if it was too less ink the lines would have been shown and if it was too much ink the ink would have gone into the lines and I would have been left with just a giant ink blob.
After the linocut piece was covered in ink I placed a white sheet of paper over it, I had to make sure the sheet was carefully placed on top or else it would have been smudged. After the sheet was placed I took a small, smooth, round object, in this sense a spoon and rubbed it over the sheet. After doing this for 1 to 2 minutes I took the sheet off and saw my finished sketch.I then placed my finished sketch onto a drying rack to let it dry off. After that I cleaned up my linocut, by taking it to a tap to rinse and wash it.
Every lino cut is unique.Thelino cuts cannot be mass produced. They are very cheap and easy to create. They take a lot of time to make.Don’t need to be made in a factory and instead can be made anywhere, even in a home kitchen.Potentially hazards.
Offset Lithography: The process of manipulating water and oil to mass print. The paper is placed with an offset cylinder and a plate cylinder above it whilst an impression cylinder is placed below it. Ink rollers and water rollers are on either side of the plate cylinder. The water and ink rollers roll water and ink back and forth non-stop and the water and ink travel downwards together but they don’t mix. They flow down the plate cylinder and the offset cylinder and the ink clings to the image area whilst the water will stick to the non-image area. This process is very fast, after the paper has ink and water on them and the impression is left it is moved away and a new paper comes into place. This is used to make a mass amount of copies.
It does fast print runsNot ideal for small jobsQuick and easy productionThe materials are too complex to useGreat for big jobsCan only be used in factories
Laser Printing is a digital printing process that produces high quality text and graphics at a fast pace.
This is done by a laser beam projecting the page to be printed over a large, round, circular item called a “charged drum” to express the different picture or in this case its called a “charged image”.Then the drum will select toner which has been charged and using that toner it transfers the image onto paper. Then the paper is heated to fix the image, permanently.
It’s very fast and efficient with top speed at printing. They cost a lot of money when compared to other printers.Printing quality is very good. The printer takes up a lot of space.Noiseless printing. Some laser printers emit particles which lead to diseases.
