Organizational behavior is the study of individual and group behavior in organizational settings. It provides tools to help managers understand and change employee behavior to help achieve organizational goals. Managers can use these tools to raise self-esteem, change reward systems, alter job designs, and implement new procedures to boost productivity, job satisfaction, and reduce costs. Organizational learning is important for managing information and knowledge within an organization to adapt better to its environment through appreciating cultural differences, leveraging global insights, and responding effectively to crises.
