5. Overview of the Choices I Made:
I chose to do a very simplistic power point on the main
idea of my research project. On the first slide I titled the
power point, “Underage Drinking”, because that is one of
the key focuses of my topic. I then went on to state the
legal drinking age in the United States, and posed my
research question. On the following slide I made my
personal argument of the research question the focus of
the slide. Then I posed the question, “Why?”, followed by
three short points/arguments that explain why I believe
the legal drinking age of twenty-one should not be
lowered. Therefore, my power point is straight forward
and directly signals my topic, research question, and my
stance on the issue. This basic template would be a good
start to the elaboration of my research project in a
personal presentation setting.
