UHPC has a compressive strength over 150 MPa and uses steel fibers to provide ductility and reduce the need for passive shear reinforcement. It has a high binder content and specially selected aggregates. Example products include BSI, Cemtec, Densit, and Ductal. A typical Ductal mix design contains 6.2% steel fibers, 40.8% fine sand, 28.7% Type V cement, 8.4% quartz flour, 9.3% silica fume, and various admixtures to achieve the high strength and ductility of UHPC.
