Uwe Hetmanska has over 30 years of experience in piling projects across Australia. Some of the key projects he worked on included driving steel and wooden piles to build jetties in Darwin and Derby in the 1960s and 1970s. In the 1990s, he served as a general foreman on projects installing Franki piles and concrete pile caps to support conveyor towers and other structures. From 1993 to 1995, Hetmanska worked as an inspector on a major railway upgrade project in Townsville and Prosperine, where he oversaw the installation of bored concrete piles up to 1200mm in diameter using various construction methods under water and on land.
