Editor's Notes

  • #8 OGAP works within the graduate school and the CRC to bring workshops and seminars to students on campus. Our hallmark events are Graduate Student Research Day and the Three Minute Thesis. GSRD began 5-years ago as NSF research day and has grown from 50-75 students to over 300 in attendance each year. Last year we 300-400 poster presenters, 90 poster judges and over 400 registered participants. This year we expect to have 400 poster presenters and over 400 registered participants. The Three Minute Thesis was brought to UF a couple of years ago when GSAC started with collaboration with the Office of Minority Graduate Programs (OGMP). 99 students registered, 55 students presented in the inaugural competition. We intend to continue this every year, growing in participation as GSRD has. Our other objectives have been geared towards connecting graduate students with the resources on campus that they need to further their research and academic growth.
  • #11 Raffle tickets – all judges get one raffle ticket per judging session
  • #23 To register as a poster judge: 1816 and 154 To register to attend the event: 945 and 102 To register your abstract/poster: 1657 and 230
