Inspire’s objective is simple: to inspire and educate a next generation of forward thinking coaches. We and our delegates are life long scholars of the game and our speaking and coaching events offer the opportunity to continue your coaching education through those at the very top of the game.
This document provides an overview of the 1-4-4 (diamond) midfield formation. It begins with an introduction and then discusses the benefits and advantages of the formation, such as central midfield domination and catering for teams with a surplus of midfield players. Potential disadvantages are also outlined, like being susceptible to quick switches of play. The document then provides examples of teams that use the formation and quotes from managers. It concludes with practical sessions to train the tactical concepts of the formation, including defending, attacking, and playing through the thirds.
The document discusses models of game used at different levels of soccer. At the professional level, the model of game is team-centered and aims to win games. At the youth level, the model should be player-centered and used as a tool to develop players' potential, not just win games. An effective model of game incorporates tactical principles for different moments and phases, playing systems tailored to player development, and emphasis on individual tactical functions over early specialization. The training model should integrate tactical, technical, and physical periodization to optimize player development.

Here are some key points about how the four topics would influence the design of Stage IV (The Game):
- Physical Environment: Size of field should match the development stage of the athletes and objectives of training. For U9-U12, a smaller-sided field is appropriate.
- Game/Activity Rules: Rules should focus on learning objectives and be simple/clear for the age. For U9-U12, limit rules to essentials like offside.
- Objectives of Training: The game should allow players to apply techniques/tactics practiced in Stages I-III. Objectives may include dribbling to beat opponents or passing combinations.
- Development Stage of Athletes: The game

It emphasizes technical, tactical, physical and mental skills through periodized training that progresses from isolated to competitive conditions.
Joan Vila, the Director of Methodology at FC Barcelona, presented on their playing style and methodology. He outlined 8 fundamentals of their style, including technical skills, player positioning, ball protection, off-ball movement, and team unity. He emphasized developing perception and decision making. Rondos are key for teaching concepts like mobility, passing, and finding space. The goal is for all teams, from youth to senior levels, to have the same identity and playing style focused on possession, positioning, and pressure.
This document provides a 12-week training program for players ages 17 to adult. Each week focuses on a different technique like passing, shooting, or defending. "The Roadmap to International Success" - FFA National Curriculum 2013Fundação Real Madrid
The National Football Curriculum aims to fundamentally transform the way football is played and coached in Australia. It advocates for a shift away from an overemphasis on results at the youth level and adopting a more proactive, possession-based style inspired by top international teams. The curriculum is intended to benefit player development from the grassroots level up by focusing on skill acquisition and allowing young players to learn through their experiences on the field rather than undue pressure. FFA believes this style aligns with the Australian sporting mentality and is necessary for the country to maintain its standing internationally against rapidly developing football nations.

Τransition-practice from book: JOSE MOURINHO ATTACKING SESSIONS - 114 PRACTICES FROM GOAL ANALYSIS OF REAL MADRID’S 4-2-3-1
Formerly called "Attacking & Finishing training sessions
The document contains descriptions of 27 soccer drills divided into sections. Each drill lists objectives, key factors, and diagrams showing player positioning and flow of play. The drills focus on techniques like passing, movement, switching play, and creating scoring chances. They are designed to develop technical skills and integrate positional play concepts like in a 4-3-3 formation.
The document summarizes Johan Cruyff's positional game philosophy. It states that players without the ball should seek good positions to provide the ball carrier with 2-3 passing options. These players should give space to the ball carrier while maintaining sightlines and not giving their back to teammates. An exercise is described where outside players pass the ball amongst themselves while inside players try to regain possession.
The document summarizes the Horst Wein Youth Football Development Model, which has been used to train over 11,000 coaches across 55 countries. The model focuses on player-centered coaching, age-appropriate competitions and training based on small-sided games rather than drills. It aims to develop each player's creative potential through enjoyment of the game.
1) The document provides details on the development program and philosophy of Belgian club Club Brugge. It outlines their academy mission, values, style of play, player profiles, and training methodology.
2) Club Brugge aims to develop skilled, motivated young players through individual attention and a clear style of play focused on technique, tactics, and teamwork.
3) Their training methodology emphasizes club exercises focused on tactics, technique, and positioning over coach exercises, with the goal of developing independent, coach-independent players.
The document provides an overview of a youth football coaching manual and development program. It includes over 120 practices across technical, physical, tactical and mental themes. When planning sessions, the aim is to make practices fun and game-related while developing players' skills, physical abilities, social skills and decision-making. The manual is meant to help coaches in developing young players and progressing them to the academy level by age 9.
This document discusses conditioning aspects in developing a soccer playing style. It begins by introducing Peter van Dort and his role as an instructor for UEFA coaching courses and the Dutch national youth teams. It then discusses defining characteristics of soccer and outlines the Dutch philosophy of "soccer training is conditioning." It describes the key team functions of attacking, defending, and transitioning between the two. It emphasizes developing soccer-specific skills and fitness through practice drills and periodization over developing general athleticism. The goal is to train players in the tactical and technical aspects of the sport to help their team achieve the aim of winning.

19. Les 2: Training STVV U17

1. Bepaal het thema van de training?
Opbouwzone tegenstander beheersen
2. Breng de richtlijnen in kaart?
20. Les 2: Training STVV U17
3. Noteer de oefeningen die gegeven
werden door de coach.
Opwarming deel 1: Loopcoördinatie oefeningen
27. Les 2: Training STVV U17
Is zeer
38. Les 3: Wedstrijd STVV – OHL
3. In welke mate verschilt/gelijkt jouw coachingstijl
met die van de coach?
Onze stijlen verschillen zeer groot.
