2. I have considered this font for the title of my
short film. It is clear, big and bold which will
make it stand out and will be visible to the
viewers to read. What I like most about the
font is that it doesn’t give much a way and
has a sense of enigma to what will happen
in my short film. Also, as it is a simple
typography, this will allow my focal image to
stand out in my film poster.
3. This font has more of a scary tone to the first
font I chose; the blurring of the letters connote
danger and possibly blood. Although my short
film does not have a horror theme but it has
themes of stress and anxiety and involves a
suicide. The font can connote that my short
film doesn’t end well and it is trying to convey a
meaningful and serious message (on arranged
marriages) as it is based on social realism.
4. I am also considering this typography for my
short film; it is big and bold which will make it
stand out. The rigid formality of it resembles and
connotes Sofia’s life and how she feels trapped
and pressured in to doing something she doesn’t
want to do. Furthermore, the typography will be
found in action movies that involve crime and
prison; as Sofia is being forced in to agreeing to
something she doesn’t want, the typography
connotes her misery and the idea that Sofia is
imprisoned.
5. I am very fond of this typography and would
like to use it for the title of my short film. I
believe that it gives a sense of enigma and
doesn’t give much away which is what I want.
The ‘droppings’ from the text connote blood,
pain and agony which are themes of my short
film.
