1. Type of magazine
• The type of magazine that I am going to create
will be a pop/chart music. I have chosen this
genre because I believe that there is a gap in
the market for this type of magazine as it will
be targeting both genders.

2. Target audience
• The target audience that I am going to aim my
pop music magazine at is both genders,
people who like pop/charts music, the age
range that I am going to target is young
teenagers/young adults. I am using these as
my target audience because there are not
many pop/chart music magazines that target
both females and males.

3. Price
• The price of my magazine will be £1 per issue.
This is the price because it is aimed at young
people who might not have a lot of money so
it is affordable for them to buy

4. Frequency
• The frequency of my magazine will be weekly
as the pop music industry is changing all of
the time and if the magazine is weekly, it can
inform the readers about up and coming
bands more often so they won’t miss anything

5. Issue size
• The size of the issue will be 50 pages of A4, I
have chosen this size because it means that it
is not a massive issue however its not to small
so that the readers finishes it within 5
minutes, this is a reasonable size as it will be
published once a week

6. Typical content
• The typical content that will appear in my
magazine will be:
• Weekly competitions
• Interviews with popular artists
• Interviews with up and coming artists
• Articles about what is happening within the music
industry
• Gig informations
