This document provides an example of performing a two-way ANOVA to analyze an experiment with two factors (detergent brand and temperature) and their effects on the amount of dirt removed from laundry. The experiment involves two brands of detergent, three temperature levels, and four replicates, for a total of 24 data points. The two-way ANOVA model is used to test the hypotheses that dirt removal does not depend on detergent brand or temperature. Summary statistics and an ANOVA table are presented to analyze the effects of the factors and their interaction on dirt removal.
