A two-dimensional shape is a flat plane figure that has two dimensions - length and width but no thickness. Common 2D shapes include circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, and pentagons. While teaching a child about 2D shapes, show pictures and ask the child to identify each shape as two-dimensional by explaining that it only has length and width.
This is another from scratch lesson plan that I teach with a color theory worksheet. It is the last project I teach in my color unit as a way to cap the unit and review everything, use color schemes, and make decorative papers. It may be a bit easy but It's simple enough to emphasize color decisions instead of a technical use of color. I've found it's hard to get students to classify their color scheme, but at least some do make informed decisions about their colors and their classification.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

1. 2 Dimensional - Definition with Examples
What is a two-dimensional shape?
In geometry, a two-dimensional shape can be defined as a flat plane figure or
a shape that has two dimensions – length and width.
Two-dimensional or 2-D shapes do not have any thickness and can be measured in
only two faces.
We can classify figures on the basis of the dimensions they have.
A circle, triangle, square, rectangle and pentagon are examples of two-dimensional
shapes.
Fun Facts
A point is zero-dimensional, while a line is one-dimensional, for we can only measure its length.
Let's sing!
2-D shapes can be drawn flat on a plane,
Length and width are dimensions that are main!
Let's do it!
Instead of handing out colouring 2D shapes worksheets, show you child pictures of two-
dimensional and three- dimensional shapes. Ask them to identify each as two- and
three- dimensional and justify their answers.
