Jerry Blumengarten = @cybrayman1
Jerry B is educator, speaker, writer, and consultant. He has created a catalog, much like Google,
but for students, teachers, and parents that is purely educational without all that other garbage
you find on other search engines. Jerry has about 43 thousand followers on twitter. He seems to
be very passionate about education and you can tell that it is the main premise of his life. He is a
big advocate of 21st century learning it seems and it is very obvious that he promotes technology
into today's curriculum. It seems as if he is very into blogging. He has a quote by himself that
says "Blogging gives even the quietest student a global voice." He has a lot of different pages on
a various amount of topics. His tweets are almost always educational based. There are no, "just
got off of work. time to go hangout with the old ball and chain for the rest of the night" type
tweets. Most of his tweets have links to his pages where you can go and look at the type of stuff
he does. I really enjoyed Jerry B's profile because his ideas and his take on education is very
fresh and new I feel. The only thing I did not like about Jerry's profile was that it was very link
heavy. Personally I'm the twitter user who just passes those links by and doesn't pay any
attention to them. However a few of his did catch my eye and I suppose that's the goal. You the
man Jerry. Keep up the good work.
Tom Altepeter = @tomaltepeter
Tom is a former elementary school principal and is now a middle school assistant principal. His
page says that he is very passionate about intercultural responsiveness and social justice. Tom's
page is a little different from Jerry's above because Tom's is based more on a philosophical type
standpoint. Tom is very divergent thinker. His tweets make you think in a different frame of
mind. He seems very involved within the community and he seems very outdoors associated.
You can tell the type of man and educator he is when you look at his pictures. They save a lot
about who he is and about his styles. He has a look of quotes in which embrace thinking
differently. I like Tom's profile because he seems to be trying to invoke a different way to think
about education. However he seems as if he brings some of his political views into the mix.
Politics and education shouldn't mix even though I know it is inevitable. Overall though I like
Tom's profile though because you can really tell that his heart is in the right place and that he
truly cares about the youth of this nation.
Steven W. Anderson = @web20classroom
Steven, like Jerry (remember that guy), is also an educator, speaker, and a blogger. He helped
create Edchat and was the EdublogsTwitterer of the year. He is also in the top 50 innovators in
education today. Steven is a pretty important guy and has about 92 thousand followers. Most of
his tweets are about education related topics but he also has some things about professionalism.
From what I can tell about Steven from his pictures, he is a fun loving guy and cares about

2. education. He seems like a cool guy because his pictures and tweets aren't uptight and brazen but
they're relaxed and very simple especially when a link is attached. I really like how he keeps the
tweet with a link in it very simple and says this is what's in this link, go. most tweets with links
attached is pushing that 140 character limit and it kind of turns me off to wanting to click on
them but on Stevens I actually looked at a few. Also he seems very positive about education
unlike some educators. his tweet 17 hours ago, aka this morning, was "Good Morning! Never
settle for anything other than your absolute best. Be awesome today!" I really like the positivity.
I really liked Steven's profile because it was very positive and very simple. He seems like a very
cool guy and you can tell he intends to do great things. And he also wears a bowtie. He's going to
be hard to beat.
Kyle Pace = @kylepace
Kyle is an instructional technology specialist/ Google certified teacher. He seems to be pretty
popular with around 34 and a half thousand followers. Based off of Kyle's tweets, he does a lot
of education through technology. Most of his tweets consist of links and there are some
educational like quotes here and there. He retweets a lot of educational related tweets as well so
it creates a type of variety which creates somewhat of a cool diversity thing he's got going on.
When I looked at his pictures I saw that he does a lot of hands on type stuff. He is actually in the
classroom applying his knowledge instead of at conferences and such. He seems playful and
outgoing and incorporates a lot of technology into his teachings. He also has picture of a 2015
Ford Mustang sitting on the showroom floor which I thoroughly enjoyed. In his about me section
or bio part of his page he says "I help connect the dots. Leading is learning." I really like that
because it shows that he cares and that he is there for a purpose. I really enjoyed Kyle's page
because he's a funny guy and his mantra is very straight forward but in a laid back funny type of
way yet he still gets his point across and teaches effectively. Keep it Kyle. By the way, great
name.
Harold Blanco = @CI350class
Now this last guy is a character. Harold is a professor at Marshall University. He's got about 400
followers but they're all intelligent as all get out. Based off of his tweets we can see that he is
very link heavy. However he makes sure that those links are kept short and sweet. Another thing
that Harold includes is videos within his tweets. It is a good way to help get your point across if
you can actually see and hear what they're talking about. When you look at Harold's pictures you
see a lot of funny things he does. You can tell he's a fun loving dude especially the sky diving
Santa Claus face with his face edited over it. On the flip side of the fun in his pictures we seem
congregations of administrators and people getting together to flat out get stuff done which is
what we all strive for. Harold not only talks about technology related things but he also tweets a
lot about current events. It's good to get see a change of pace when it comes to seeing an
educators page for once. Overall I liked Harold's page because it was funny, the Boehner Obama
