Twitter is a social media platform that allows users to share information through short messages called tweets. While tweets are limited to 140 characters, Twitter can be used in many different ways by different types of users, such as communicating, sharing links and information, building networks, and more. However, using Twitter effectively for business purposes requires time, practice, and patience, as the benefits are not always immediate to measure.
The document provides an overview and introduction to Twitter, including what it is, how it works, and some examples of how it is used. It discusses how Twitter allows users to post short text updates called tweets to share what they are doing with their followers. It also gives practical uses for Twitter like getting quick answers to questions, sharing news and events, networking, and staying connected with friends. The document concludes by explaining how to set up a Twitter account and begin following other users and sending tweets.
Businesses use Twitter to cut costs by not needing a physical shop or many employees, allowing them to market and advertise their products to potential customers. Police use Twitter to gather information from the public to help solve crimes and stop public disturbances. Schools and teachers use Twitter to stay in contact with students, provide work and assignments for students who are absent, and allow students to submit and receive feedback on assignments remotely.
5 simple tricks will be represented to help you successfully move on Twitter. The first trick is to leave drama for friends and family, and avoid constantly tweeting about negative things. The second trick is to strategically retweet relevant tweets from others to gain more followers. The third trick is to write useful, valuable tweets and avoid boring or meaningless tweets. The fourth trick is to be yourself and avoid being too cautious or boring. The fifth trick is to be kind and forgiving in your tweets.
The author expresses frustration that BlackBerry services may be disrupted in the country due to security concerns raised by the telecommunications regulator and BlackBerry maker RIM. While national security is important, the author believes transparency and surveillance of communications is a small price to pay for the business benefits of mobility services. The author argues that increased security measures are common in developed countries without public complaint and that the country's leaders should have privately worked with RIM to address security issues rather than banning BlackBerry services, as this will harm the economy. The author urges the telecom company to find an alternative to BlackBerry that maintains connectivity and productivity for businesses.
The document discusses the benefits and drawbacks of Facebook and Twitter according to the author. Some positives of Facebook included staying connected with family and friends, socializing, and staying informed. The author also likes being able to create and save documents and presentations. However, the author dislikes the layouts on Facebook and finds long posts uninteresting. Regarding Twitter, the author does not like the character limit, cryptic abbreviations, or needing to follow people due to a lack of time.

The document discusses the pros and cons of finding friends online. It argues that while the internet allows people to easily communicate and form relationships without fear of rejection, meeting people online also carries risks. Specifically, not everyone online is who they claim to be, and children need to be careful about who they interact with. However, the internet also makes it possible to connect with others across long distances without extensive travel. Overall, the document presents the internet as a tool that can be useful for meeting people but requires caution.

The document proposes developing a blog and light entertainment program to explore risk in everyday life, the media, and online. It would highlight bad advice and provide alternative commentary. Inspired by satire from the 80s, the anti-aesthetic blog would connect to audiences through articles, photos, videos and memes on its front end. The back end would feature personal video diaries from content creators. The program would use self-reflexive video diaries to critique the creators' own lives and responses to risks, bad advice, and self-exposure through an anti-aesthetic approach.

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

You probably have questions on how this new licensing approach works and how to benefit from it. Most importantly, you likely have budget constraints and want to save money where possible. Don’t worry, we can help with all of this!
We’ll show you how to fix common misconfigurations that cause higher-than-expected user counts, and how to identify accounts which you can deactivate to save money. And naturally we’ll explain the new licensing model.
Join HCL Ambassador Marc Thomas in this webinar with a special guest appearance from Franz Walder. It will give you the tools and know-how to stay on top of what is going on with Domino licensing. You will be able lower your cost through an optimized configuration and keep it low going forward.

Twitbadges
1. Ricardo Aum - @ricardoaum - hire.me@ricardoaum.net
Hello my name is Ricardo and today I'll show you how Twitbadges will transform your experience with
Twitter.
2. Before talking about the tool, let me tell you a story of a friend of mine.
This is John.
4. He considers himself an addict and checks his status regularly, from the computer or the phone.
5. Just like John, there are more than 50 millions of active users accessing Twitter at least once a day
posting more than 140 million tweets per day.
6. John loves to participate in conversations using hashtags. Ever since he created a hashtag and all his
friends started using it, subsequently friends of his friends used it
7. and in less than 24 hours, there were more than 10 thousand tweets carrying the hashtag that he had
created.
8. But less than 24 hours after that, nobody could remember his hashtag, let alone of its creator.
Everything on twitter is very fast and that makes John a bit frustrated.
9. Sometimes John thinks how great it would be if there were a way to store those moments so that he
could one day show his grandchildren, to his mother who keeps saying he is wasting time with this
internet nonsense, or even to a potential employer.
10. It is however, not easy to keep track of everything you do on Twitter.
At least it wasn’t until now.
11. With TwitBadges, John can show everyone that he created a hashtag that was used more than 10,000
times.
12. Or that she was one of the first people to use a hashtag that became a trending topic.
13. Or a tweet that managed more than 1,000 retweets.
14. Actually there are many other achievements that John did not know he had.
But now he knows. And all his friends now know it too. His future boss will now be able to know
everything that happens on Twitter, because it is stored in Twitbadges in the form of badges that tell
what John did to achieve it.
15. Twitbadges also helps John discover new topics that might be of his interest.
And also find out about what his friends are talking about, even when he is not on Twitter.
16. John can also let everyone know through his profile, how much he loves bacon.
17. And that's how Twitbadges will improve your Twitter experience, creating a history of your activities in
a fun and easy way.
18. Now you already know John and Twitbadges, but how to present this tool to all other 400 million Twitter users
out there?
How to get others like John, to discover that their accomplishments on Twitter need not vanish in the timeline
after a week? How to make them understand the benefits of using the tool on a day to day basis?
19. Well, there’s nothing better than to show them the practical benefits of the tool. But since we cannot
take them to the platform, the platform will be taken to them.
20. The goal is to identify the most influential Twitter users in various categories and physically send them
what the site has to offer
To exemplify, I chose a influential people on Twitter that everyone here knows. Karl.
21. Karl would receive a direct mail showing his achievements, and also his badges embroidered or in a
form of buttons.
22. To calculate the ROI, we can assume an estimated market where the average income per user is
around $3.50 per year. Estimating an average production cost of each mailing at around $50, we can
say that each influencer might bring 15 users, which sounds reasonable. If our estimates are correct
we will achieve our initial goal.
23. Thank you
for your time.
