2. Synopsis Of Hide And Seek
I have decided to create aTV drama in which will follow the stereotypical genre of Sci-Fi/ thriller, implying that my
drama series will have hand held camera shots alongside suspenseful music to build up suspense, just like Stanger
things (A sci-fi drama) has. I have decided to base my drama in a school setting, where the main protagonist,
Charlie Peters, a male student at the school, is experiencing paranormal events. My drama will start with the main
protagonist sitting in a classroom with five other students all around him with the teacher faintly talking in the back
ground which will be succeeded by editing the audio to a lower volume. After thirty seconds of pan shots of
students writing and working, Charlie decides to go to the toilet which the audience know because he asks the
teacher ‘miss, may I be excused. After Charlie leaves the classroom, there will be a slow zoom in shot of a water
bottle on student two’s desk which starts to shake.The student notices this and leans forward to investigate. A
loud diegetic, pre recorded bang sound effect will be heard.The classroom begins to shake anchored by a hand held
camera shaking in order to succeed a dramatic effect.The boy then comes back to the classroom to see everyone is
missing. He runs out of the classroom scared and looks around the school, all succeeded by tracking and panning
shots.
I have also decided to make this drama show a series because I would like the
main protagonists to appear every episode and have an ongoing storyline. I
feel like this will not only attract the audience’s attention, but will encourage
the audience to watch every episode so that they don’t miss out on
information. However if they do then the website will keep them up to date.

3. My ChosenTitle Idea
I have decided that the font of my title will be written in American typewriter. This font connotes an older text used
in the 20th century when typewriters were a mean of writing stories. the audience will recognize the font
associating it with the past creating a creepy and mysterious undertone.
The game hide and seek originated in NewYork in 1976 it’s popularity waned in the 1990s as parents began
helicoptering their children, worrying about adolescent safety at night.This gave me the idea for a title as the main
protagonist Charlie appears to be unsafe and searching for the source of his class mates’ disappearance.

4. PreWater Shed
Pre watershed means the time whenTV programs which might be unsuitable for children are not
broadcasted.
ITV dramas such as Coronation Street have been labeled as suitable for children due to no heavy violence,
swearing and/or sexual scenes,
therefore allowing this show to be aired before 9pm. Like coronation street, myTV drama will be aired pre
watershed as it consists of child friendly content and fits in with Ofcom’s regulations. I need to make sure
that my drama doesn't’t use weapons or offensive language which can be done by sticking by Ofcom's
regulations whilst writing my script.

5. Marketing For My 16-25 Audience
Because Hide And Seek is a Sci-Fi thriller, the creepy, mysterious aspects of this genre will be portrayed
through being released around Halloween time. Since I would like to release my drama series around Halloween
time, this means that I will have events set up in large cities such as London. A well known video game Duty Black
Ops two was promoted and advertised very well which we can see from how it bought in $500 million in the first
twenty four hours. I would like my tv drama, although different, to bring in large numbers which can be done by
advertising in places that are largely populated. Here are a few ways I will increase the mass audience:
• Have a premier, meet the cast in London before the show is released to
public
• Have similar star appeals from thriller shows to attend the premier or
advertise the show. As a result of this, the audience who have built
personal relationships with the stars will trust them and watch my
drama if they are
• Have an interactive activity such as a maze.This interactive activity will
increase a mass audience as it will be a fun task to complete. It shall be
set up like a school and you will have to find your way out of the maze
alone, just as the main protagonist has done in the three minute sequel.

6. Website
In order for my audience to stay interested in my website, I have decided to
include some interactive activities for the viewers to feel more involved. Some of
these include:
• A voting section on the main page. I have decided to include voting for my
audience to use on the website.The audience can decide what happens at
certain parts of the series for example when there will be a murder, the
audience can decide who the culprit will be.This way, the audience stay
included in the making of the show furthermore involving themselves.
• I have decided to have a sponsor,Thorpe Park.The reason why I have decided
to haveThorpe Park as a sponsor is I can hold events their at Halloween, when
this drama will first air.This will attract the 16-25 year old target audience as
Thorpe parks statistics state the majority of their attendees to the park are
teenagers and young adults.
• There will be competitions, paid for by the sponsor where the audience will
have to watch the show and answer the questions on a quiz featured on the
website, if they answer all of the questions correctly then they have the
chance of winning a family trip toThorpe park fright nights.

7. Location
My tv drama series will be located in a college.The reason I have decided to use a college as my location is
because the target market audience are in or have just left education (16-25 year old's).Therefore they will be
inclined to be more familiarised with a college then perhaps a work office.The first scene will be a low angle shot
pointing up towards the college, I want my audience to understand exactly where they are from the beginning so
they feel more apart of the series.
• My first scene will be in a classroom. I will have several mac computers set up around the
classroom and have a pen pot set up on one of the desks.
• My fourth scene will be set in a corridor using a hand held camera, I am using a corridor
as my location because I want a track shot so the audience feel involved In the show which
entices them.
