These aircraft engine blades
have been finished in a high
energy and high intensity
isotropic method that
combines orbital and
centrifugal movement of
media. A multi-step sequence
of operations was used using
successively finer abrasive
material. Surfaces are
characterized by isotropic
planarization which are much
more functional surfaces that
those that are conventionally
machined or ground
