Tulloch Wines, rated 5 red stars by James Halliday, introduces their new Vineyard Selection Range to celebrate 117 years in business. The range was developed based on lessons learned over 10 years and selects the best parcels from vineyards to produce elegant, traditional wines that reflect their place of origin. The first wines in the series include a Semillon from Inglewood, a Verdelho blended from two vineyards, a Chardonnay from Denman, and a Shiraz blended from two historic vineyards.

3. VINEYARD SELECTION RANGE
In 2012 Tulloch Wines turned 117 years old, a milestone we
are celebrating with the release of our new Vineyard
Selection Range.
The introduction of this new range is the culmination of our
work over the past 10 years to return Tulloch to its former
glory and reinvent it as an icon of quality, history, heritage
and tradition.
The Vineyard Selection range is the epitome of these goals
and is a reflection of what we have learnt in the vineyard
over the last 10 years, allowing us to identify the best parcels
of fruit in various vintage conditions.
Our peers may call them modern styles of wine; in essence
they are very traditional. Varietals that we know are
consistently high achievers in the Hunter Valley and made in
the style the hunter is known for. Elegant wines reflecting
style and place.

4. VINEYARD SELECTION SEMILLON
The Hunter valley enjoys unrivalled recognition for the
world’s best Semillon and this wine is an excellent example
of this classic style.
The fruit for this wine is sourced from the established award-
winning Inglewood vineyard on the banks of the Hunter
River.
Aromas of lime zest and fresh spice lead into a palate of
intense citrus notes that harmonise with zesty sherbet and a
citrus finish. Delicate notes of passionfruit give a rounded
textural palate structured over a talc and mineral acid finish.
Made to enjoy in its youth, the wine will also reward
medium term cellaring from 5 to 10 years.
If you’re wondering what to eat, think fresh seafood, oysters,
prawns, bugs and crabs.

5. VINEYARD SELECTION VERDELHO
Verdelho was the stand out variety from the difficult 2012
Hunter vintage. The fruit for this wine is sourced from a
small parcel of Verdelho on the JYT home vineyard at the
foot of the Brokenback Mountain range and blended with a
parcel of premium Verdelho from our award-winning
vineyard in the Upper Hunter.
The Tulloch name has long been synonymous with Verdelho
and we celebrate our commitment to this uniquely
Australian style of wine with this release.
This is a vibrant and lively wine. Rich tropical fruit, musk
stick and lime aromas progress into a palate loaded with
typical varietal characters of tropical fruits and lively spice
balanced by a fine acid finish.
Drink it now with your favourite chilli, spice and Asian
flavours. Chilli Crab anyone?

6. VINEYARD SELECTION CHARDONNAY
The fruit for this wine is sourced from our landmark
Chardonnay vineyard in Denman in the Upper Hunter Valley
on the banks of the mighty Hunter River.
This is an elegant and delicate style of Chardonnay with
subtle oak influence. Aromas of ripe stone fruits, creamy
patisserie notes and soft spicy oak prepare your palate for
balanced layers of fresh fruit flavours of peach and
nectarine. A well balanced wine with fine French oak
influence and natural acidity offering a rich clean finish.
While made to enjoy now, your will power will be rewarded
with up to 5 years cellaring.

7. VINEYARD SELECTION SHIRAZ
The Hunter Valley was the star performer for 2011 reds as
most other wine regions in Australia struggled with wet
conditions. The unusually trouble free 2011 harvest
produced Shiraz of great finesse with persistent red berry
flavours on the palate.
Fruit for this wine was sourced from one of the Hunters most
historic Shiraz vineyards at the foot of the Brokenback range
and combined with a small premium parcel of Shiraz from a
vineyard within the traditional parish of Pokolbin confines
that we have been sourcing fruit from for the past 6 years.
Enticing aromas of cherry, raspberry and spices with hints of
fresh vanillin oak carry from the nose deep into the palate.
The fresh balance of natural acidity and fine oak tannin
produce this medium bodied traditional Hunter style.
