Daniel Estulin - Los Secretos Del Club Bilderbergnuestrocanto

COVID-19 in the UK and US: Understanding the impact on insurance, retirement ...ILC- UK
The UK and the US have been heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. But what is the impact on these critical financial services sectors, and what happens next?
Last Summer, we held a discussion webinar, co-hosted with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, that took a deep-dive into what the pandemic means for these sectors as a result of any changes to expected mortality, life expectancy and health.
One year on, we reconvened our panel of expert actuaries to ask:
- How has the pandemic affected the views of actuaries on future longevity, mortality and health?
- What was expected/ predictable, and what has changed?
What has this, and will this, mean for financial services, including retirement income, pension schemes, annuities in the US and UK?
- What happens next?
The document discusses several key points about the COVID-19 pandemic:
- COVID-19 is still not under control globally with new variants emerging quickly. Vaccine effectiveness is also waning.
- There are still many unknowns about COVID-19, including how future variants may evolve and the long-term impacts.
- New Zealand's vaccination rollout has been slow with too short a gap between doses, and stock levels of vaccines and protective equipment have not been properly managed.
- Governance systems may need to be redesigned to better deal with complex, disruptive events like pandemics in the emerging "noisy world".
This document provides templates and guidance for conducting an Intra-Action Review (IAR) on a country's COVID-19 response. The IAR is intended to be a qualitative review of the response to identify best practices, gaps, and lessons learned to improve ongoing and future responses. It involves stakeholders analyzing the response and identifying strengths, challenges, and recommendations. The review follows several steps, including an overview of the response plan and timeline, identifying what went well/less well and why, and developing activities to address challenges and institutionalize best practices to strengthen the COVID-19 response. The goal is to support continuous learning and improvement during public health emergencies.
This is the presentation material used by Phil Hayes-St Clair and David Burt to analyse COVID-19 (as at March 17, 2020) and share tips for how to think about, plan and lead through the uncertainty of generated from COVID-19.

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.

Countries should place particular emphasis on reducing human infection, prevention of secondary transmission and international spread and contributing to the international response though multi-sectoral communication and collaboration and active participation in increasing knowledge on the virus and the disease, as well as advancing research.
A table-top exercise is an exercise that uses a progressive simulated scenario, together with series of scripted injects, to make participants consider the impact of a potential health emergency on existing plans, procedures and capacities. A TTX simulates an emergency situation in an informal, stress-free environment.
The purpose of a TTX is to strengthen readiness to manage a health emergency, through facilitated group discussions.
A TTX can be used to:
Develop or review a response plan
Familiarize participants with their roles and responsibilities
Identify and solve problems through a facilitated and open discussion.
The “WHO monitoring response implementation checklist for COVID-19” should have been printed and distributed to all participants.
Tell participants, it is in their reference documents.
