bringing the monitoring
tools and instructed them

16. CHALLENGES/ISSUES/GAPS INTERVENTION
The rampant selling of food that have been advised not to
be sold within the school.
Instructing them not to sell those food items and refer always
to the DepED Order No. 13., s. 2017.
Non-compliance of the canteen operators in the different
pertinent documents as the canteens continue to operate
without the basic documents needed.
School Canteen coordinators are instructed to read,
comprehend and apply the DepED Orders for food safety.
Ignorance of the food to be sold and not to be sold in the
canteens.
School canteen inspection shall be done by the school nurses
and the involvement of the PTA officials, Baranggay Local
Government.
More learners and employees that need to be medically
assessed to qualify as PWD.
Set a schedule, of at least 2 days, to gather those concerned
and be checked by the medical officers, PDAO representative,
ZDSMS representatives.

2. Conduct a seminar on Food Safety to the Canteen Operators, School
Canteen Coordinators in partnership with the CHO’s Sanitary
Inspectors. (Feb. 2024)
3. Check the canteen operators’ compliance of the different
documents for the year 2024 (e.g. Health Certificates, Sanitary
Certificates, Business Permits, CDA)
4. Invite a COA representative during the seminar in the making of
financial reports.
5. 5. Daily checking of the canteen using the monitoring tool.

19. 1.Virtual meeting with all the PWD School Coordinators.
2.Recognize how many are yet to be checked and their location.
3.Draft a proposal called, ILHON UG LISTAHON and add-on the
Budgetary requirements to conduct the medical check and
determination of the PWDs.
4.Report the cases to the CSWD, PDAO and DOH, later to
PhilHealth and SPED.

1. ILHON UG LISTAHUN: Identification of Persons With Disabilities in DepED- Pagadian City and Formally Enroll to
the PDAO and DOH as PWD. ( July- August 2023).
- Conduct of Physical assessment, by the nurses and Medical Officer, to the learners and DepED employees
based on the submitted names and initial assessment of the PWD School Coordinators. And determine the categories
of disabilities where they belong.
2. Health Assistance and Forum of Women With Disabilities- Oriented these women with disabilities about free
PAPSMEAR service for them. (March 27, 2023)
3. Distribution of PWD IDs to the newly-registered PWD s in PDAO and oriented them of the benefits they can
experience. (September 2023)
4. Orientation about Autism Spectrum Disorder- Orienting the PWD School Coordinators about this illness and proper
managing them in schools. (April 4, 2023)
5. Parents’ Orientation during the 2023 National Deaf Awareness Week- The Do’s and Don'ts's and the care of the
Deaf.. (11/17/23)
6. Lecture and orientation about PWD and management of PWDs in ZSNHS. (March 17, 2023)
