A tsunami is a series of huge waves that can be caused by large undersea earthquakes or underwater landslides and volcanic eruptions. On March 11, 2011, a massive tsunami hit Tohoku, Japan with some waves reaching heights of 133 feet, representing one of the worst natural disasters since World War II according to Japan's Prime Minister, and devastating the region.
