Context
In South Africa, the budget needed to provide quality
Early Childhood Development (ECD) services for
mothers and children is around
R2.4-billion annually.
At Amply, we are focused primarily on the subsidies
provided by the Department of Social Development
for community-based ECD facilities serving students
too young for Grade R.

19. Goals.
Pilot 2 began in March 2018, with
implementation being 3 months (April, May,
June)
Goals: End-to-end delivery of Schedule B form
→ attendance, evaluation (automatically
accepted as correct), auto-generation of
Schedule B form at the end of the quarter .

20. Every morning, a service provider (teacher or
principal) logs each child’s attendance in the app.
Underlying the app is blockchain infrastructure and
smart contracts, through which a third-party
evaluator can verify the claim of attendances made
by the service provider.
