3. The layers of Tropical
Rainforest
EMERGENT LAYER: It´s usually about 50 or 60 m tall. It Has
adapted to survive in hot tempetures and strong winds.
CANOPY LAYER: It is often more than 30 m tall. Birds,
mammals, insects, all live up here.
UNDERSTORY LAYER: It´s made up of trunks,
branches, bushes, shrubs,… Predactors like jaguars live in this
section. FOREST FLOOR: It belongs to
invertebrates, fungi and bacteria. It is dark as Little sunlight
penetrates though the canopy.
