Patel transformer PVT. LTD is a small-scale company that provides maintenance and repair for distribution transformers located in Palanpur, India. A transformer is a static machine that transforms power from one circuit to another without changing frequency, using Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. The inspection report will examine the transformer core, insulation machine, coils, design criteria, oven, oil tank, and cleaning/painting. Transformer tests include testing the low-voltage and high-voltage sides.

4. What is transformer
A Transformer is a static machine used for
transforming power from one circuit to another without
changing frequency.
Principle of transformer
IT depends upon Faraday’s law of electromagnetic
induction
According to these faraday’s law “rate of change of flux
linkage with respect to time is directly proportional to
induced EMF in a conductor or coil”
6. • The transformer may be
of core type. The core
shall be built up with high
grade, non-aging, low
loss, high permeability,
grain oriented, cold-
rolled silicon steel
laminations especially
suitable for core material.
• The transformer shall be
so designed as to have
minimum humming noise
16. The transformer core-winding
assembly is put into the oven
for up to 36 hours to remove this
moisture.
Since moisture evaporates at
over 100 C, the oven
temperature is set between 112
C to 120 C.

• Transformer oil are used in cooling of transformer and no
leakages current produced of transformer body
20. The necessary quantity of
new transformer oil
according to IS: 335 shall
be supplied & filled in the
transformer tank up to a
height above the minimum
filling mark of conservator
tank. The Supplier shall
furnish the relevant
technical particulars and
test certificates of the oil
supplied. An additional
10% of the total quantity of
oil required shall be
supplied loose along with
the transformer.
21. All steel surfaces shall
be thoroughly cleaned
by sand blasting or
chemical agents, as
required to produce a
smooth surface free of
scales and rust.
All bushings and current
carrying parts shall be
cleaned properly after
final painting.
