ESTABLISHING SHOT – SETS THE INITIAL SCENE (DARK AND EERIE) LAUREN approaches the alley way and slowly enters it. LONG SHOT – LOOKING TOWARDS THE MURDERER DOWN THE ALLEY WAY The MURDERER is further up the alley way holding his VICTIM against the hard brick wall. LAUREN does not notice until she has entered the alley way. CLOSE UP – LAUREN FEELING SCARED AND VULNERABLE POINT OF VIEW SHOT – LAUREN WATCHING THE MURDERER INTER-TITLE - “IN THE WRONG PLACE” LAUREN freezes with fear. Distressed cries are heard from his VICTIM as she is stabbed repeatedly. INTER-TITLE – “AT THE WRONG TIME” *REPEATED SCREAMING* POINT OF VIEW SHOT- LAUREN WATHCES THE MURDER LAUREN watches from a distance as he bends down and leans over the dead body. As he stands again, he turns towards LAUREN, looking directly at her and they both freeze. LIVING ROOM OF LAUREN’S HOUSE – NIGHT. We see LAUREN speak to the 999 operator on the other end of the phone. CLOSE UP – LAUREN MAKING THE PHONE CALL (SHOWING HER HOLDING THE PHONE TO HER EAR) There is fear and panic seen in her face as she remembers what happened.

Trailer Script INTER-TITLE – “ONE PHONE CALL CHANGED EVERYTHING” LAUREN: (Shakily) Can I report a murder? *FADES TO BLACK* - SUGGESTS PASSING OF TIME STREET – EVENING From this point onwards LAUREN begins to feel paranoid that she is being followed by the MURDERER as he has not been found by the police. LONG SHOT – LAUREN WALKS DOWN THE STREET TOWARDS THE CAMERA (LOOKING BEHIND HER FEELING PARANOID) HOUSE – EVENING. LAUREN returns home and we see her lock her front door and check that she has with the constant fear of being stalked. POING OF VIEW – AS WE SEE A CLOSE UP OF LAUREN CHECKING THAT THE DOOR IS LOCKED (ADDS TENSION AND SUSPICION) LAUREN then receives a phone call off of an unknown number. CLOSE UP – PHONE RINGING STATING “UNKNOWN NUMBER” LAUREN: (Fearfully) Hello? Nobody speaks when she picks up the phone. BATHROOM – NIGHT. LAUREN gets out of the shower and dresses. As she stands up to dry her hair she turns to face the mirror. The MURDERER is stood directly behind her holding a knife in his hand. OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT- SHOWS HER STOOD IN THE MIRROR WITH THE MURDERER STOOD BEHIND HER.
- 3. Trailer Script INTER-TITLE “CAN SOMETHING BE DONE” TWO SHOT – DIRECTLY ON HER WITH THE MURDERER STOOD BEHIND HER At this moment LAUREN is beat by the MURDERER and taken towards a car. STREET – NIGHT. The street is very dark and streetlights are the only source of light. LONG SHOT – SHOWS THE ACTION OF LAUREN BEING PUSHED INTO THE CAR LAUREN is pushed into the back of the car by the MURDERER and the car speeds away. GARAGE – NIGHT. LAUREN is now dragged out of the car and shoved into an abandoned garage. TWO SHOT – FROM BEHIND, SHOWING HER BEING TAKEN INTO THE GARAGE Her blindfold and gag is ripped off so she can see where she is and the threat of the MURDERER stood in front of her leaves her speechless. CLOSE UP – HER FACE AS THE BLINDFOLD IS RIPPED OFF An extreme close up is used to show the MURDERERS hand holding the knife and then a pull focus is used to show LAUREN in the background, looking at the knife. OFFICE – DAYTIME. OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT – THE DETECTIVE LOOKING AT THE NOTE WITH THE CAMERA OVER HIS SHOULDER, SHOWING THE AUDIENCE WHAT THE NOTE STATES AT THE SAME TIME The two DETECTIVES are seen looking at a note that has been sent by the MURDERER explaining that LAUREN must be found by 0:00 or she will be killed. Over the shoulder shot of the male detective looking at the note DETECTIVE 1: (Panicked) We need to work quickly. There is also an over the shoulder shot of them writing things on the whiteboard and making links between each piece of evidence. This could also be a two shot of the two detectives stood next to each other looking at the evidence.
