A Review of Various Methods Used in the Analysis of Functional Gene Expressio...ijitcs
Sequencing projects arising from high-throughput technologies including those of sequencing DNA microarray allowed measuring simultaneously the expression levels of millions of genes of a biological sample as well as to annotate and to identify the role (function) of those genes. Consequently, to better manage and organize this significant amount of information, bioinformatics approaches have been developed. These approaches provide a representation and a more 'relevant' integration of data in order to test and validate the researchers’ hypothesis. In this context, this article describes and discusses some techniques used for the functional analysis of gene expression data.

Plant leaf identification using image can be constructed by ensemble classifier. Ensemble
classifier executes classification of various features independently. This experiment utilized texture feature
and geometry feature of plant leaf to find out which features are more powerful. Each classifier trained by
specific feature produced different accuracy rate. To integrate ensemble classifier the results of the
classification were weighted, so as the score obtained from better features contributed greater to the final
results. Weighted classification results were combined to get the final result. The proposed method was
evaluated using dataset comprises of 156 variety of plants with 4559 images. Weighting and combining
classifier used in this study were Weighted Majority Vote (WMV) and Naïve Bayes Combination. Both of
those method result showed better accuracy than using single classifier. The average accuracy of single
classifier was 61.2% for geometry classifier and 70.3% for texture classifier, while WMV method was

Optimal rule set generation using pso algorithmcsandit
Classification and Prediction is an important resea

classifier model for any decision system is an impo
rtant job for many data mining applications.
The objective of developing such a classifier is to
classify unlabeled dataset into classes. Here
we have applied a discrete Particle Swarm Optimizat

classification rule sets from huge number of rules
possibly exist in a dataset. In the proposed
DPSO algorithm, decision matrix approach was used f

classification rules from a dataset. Then the propo

significant rules from all possible classification
rules without sacrificing predictive accuracy.
The proposed algorithm deals with discrete valued d

solutions contains particles of different sizes. Th

Multilinear Kernel Mapping for Feature Dimension Reduction in Content Based M...ijma
In the process of content-based multimedia retrieval, multimedia information is processed in order to
obtain descriptive features. Descriptive representation of features, results in a huge feature count, which
results in processing overhead. To reduce this descriptive feature overhead, various approaches have been
used to dimensional reduction, among which PCA and LDA are the most used methods. However, these
methods do not reflect the significance of feature content in terms of inter-relation among all dataset
features. To achieve a dimension reduction based on histogram transformation, features with low
significance can be eliminated. In this paper, we propose a feature dimensional reduction approaches to
achieve the dimension reduction approach based on a multi-linear kernel (MLK) modeling. A benchmark
dataset for the experimental work is taken and the proposed work is observed to be improved in analysis in
comparison to the conventional system.

Close range photogrammetry network design is referred to the process of placing a set of
cameras in order to achieve photogrammetric tasks. The main objective of this paper is tried to find
the best location of two/three camera stations. The genetic algorithm optimization and Particle
Swarm Optimization are developed to determine the optimal camera stations for computing the three
dimensional coordinates. In this research, a mathematical model representing the genetic algorithm
optimization and Particle Swarm Optimization for the close range photogrammetry network is
developed. This paper gives also the sequence of the field operations and computational steps for this
task. A test field is included to reinforce the theoretical aspects.
sis of health condition is very challenging task for every human being because life is directly related to health
condition. Data mining based classification is one of the important applications for classification of data. In this
research work, we have used various classification techniques for classification of thyroid data. CART gives highest
accuracy 99.47% as best model. Feature selection plays very important role to computationally efficient and increase
the performance of model. This research work focus on Info Gain and Gain Ratio feature selection technique to
reduce the irrelevant features from original data set and computationally increase the performance of model. We have
applied both the feature selection techniques on best model i. e. CART. Our proposed CART-Info Gain and CARTGain

BPSO&1-NN algorithm-based variable selection for power system stability ident...IJAEMSJORNAL
Due to the very high nonlinearity of the power system, traditional analytical methods take a lot of time to solve, causing delay in decision-making. Therefore, quickly detecting power system instability helps the control system to make timely decisions become the key factor to ensure stable operation of the power system. Power system stability identification encounters large data set size problem. The need is to select representative variables as input variables for the identifier. This paper proposes to apply wrapper method to select variables. In which, Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (BPSO) algorithm combines with K-NN (K=1) identifier to search for good set of variables. It is named BPSO&1-NN. Test results on IEEE 39-bus diagram show that the proposed method achieves the goal of reducing variables with high accuracy.
Innovative Technique for Gene Selection in Microarray Based on Recursive Clus...AM Publications
Gene selection is usually the crucial step in microarray data analysis. A great deal of recent research has focused on the
challenging task of selecting differentially expressed genes from microarray data (‘gene selection’). Numerous gene selection
algorithms have been proposed in the literature, but it is often unclear exactly how these algorithms respond to conditions like
small sample-sizes or differing variances. Choosing an appropriate algorithm can therefore be difficult in many cases. This paper
presents combination of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Principle Component Analysis (PCA), Recursive Cluster Elimination
(RCE) a classification algorithm by employing a innovative method for gene selection. It reduces the gene expression data into
minimal number of gene subset. This is a new feature selection method which uses ANOVA statistical test, principal component
analysis, KNN classification &RCE (recursive cluster elimination). At each step redundant & irrelevant features are get
eliminated. Classification accuracy reaches up to 99.10% and lesser time for classification when compared to other convectional techniques.
MARKOV CHAIN AND ADAPTIVE PARAMETER SELECTION ON PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZERijsc
Particle Swarm Optimizer (PSO) is such a complex stochastic process so that analysis on the stochastic
behavior of the PSO is not easy. The choosing of parameters plays an important role since it is critical in
the performance of PSO. As far as our investigation is concerned, most of the relevant researches are
based on computer simulations and few of them are based on theoretical approach. In this paper,
theoretical approach is used to investigate the behavior of PSO. Firstly, a state of PSO is defined in this
paper, which contains all the information needed for the future evolution. Then the memory-less property of
the state defined in this paper is investigated and proved. Secondly, by using the concept of the state and
suitably dividing the whole process of PSO into countable number of stages (levels), a stationary Markov
chain is established. Finally, according to the property of a stationary Markov chain, an adaptive method
for parameter selection is proposed.
Detecting minor genetic variants has become essential to cancer
and infectious disease management. Many have turned to next
generation sequencing to fill this need given the common
perception that the limit of detection (LOD) for Sanger sequencing
is somewhere between 15% to 25%1,2,3. We have discovered a
software algorithmic solution to reduce this detection limit to 5%
and have demonstrated detection at even lower allele frequencies.
Standard Sanger sequencing protocols can be used and the
method can generate the familiar electropherogram data display
with noise substantially reduced. This opens up an alternative for
detecting low level somatic variants.
The key observation that enabled this development is that the noise
underlying Sanger sequencing fluorescence data (traces) appears
to be highly correlated to the primary sequence in the data. Figure
1 shows the electropherograms from two different samples: the
control sample has the same primary sequence as the test sample
which contains a few minor variants.
ON THE PREDICTION ACCURACIES OF THREE MOST KNOWN REGULARIZERS : RIDGE REGRESS...ijaia
The work in this paper shows intensive empirical experiments using 13 datasets to understand the regularization effectiveness of ridge regression, the lasso estimate, and elastic net regularization methods. The study offers a deep understanding of how the datasets affect the goodness of the prediction accuracy of each regularization method for a given problem given the diversity in the datasets used. The results have shown that datasets play crucial rules on the performance of the regularization method and that the
predication accuracy depends heavily on the nature of the sampled datasets.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

3. Description
This program does canonical analysis of principal
coordinates (canonical correlation analysis or
canonical discriminant analysis) based on any distance
measure as described by Anderson and Robinson
(2003) and Anderson and Willis (2003). The test is
done by permutation (using the trace and first
canonical root statistics) and canonical axes for
ordination are also given in the output.
4. Characteristics
1. Eigenvalues and eigenvectors from the principal
coordinate analysis. The latter are the PCO axes
that can be used to plot an unconstrained
(metric MDS) of the data.
2. Canonical correlations and squared canonical
correlations
3. Canonical axes scores (position of multivariate
points on the canonical axes to be used for
plotting).
4. Correlations of each of the original variables with
each of the canonical axes.
5. 5. Correlations of each X variable with each of the
canonical axes (if a canonical correlation is done).
6. Diagnostics used to determine the appropriate value
for the choice of m. The criterion used is either the
value of m resulting in the minimum
misclassification error (in the case of groups) or the
minimum residual sum of squares (in the case of X
containing one or more quantitative variables).
Also, m must not exceed p or N and is chosen so that
the proportion of the variability explained by the first
m PCO axes is more than 60%and less than 100% of
the total variability in the original dissimilarity
matrix.
6. 7. In the case of groups, a table of results for the “leave-
one-out” classification of individual observations to
groups is given, along with the misclassification error
for the choice of m used.
8. If requested, the results of a permutation test using
the two different test statistics, (trace and largest
root).
8. Description:
The program offers essentially two options: one can
either ask for a forward selection of individual
variables, or for a forward selection of sets of variables.
The first is useful in the general case, e.g. for fitting
individual environmental variables sequentially in the
linear model. The second is useful for the situation
where one wishes to fit a sequential model of whole
sets of variables. For example, in the paper by
Anderson et al. (2004), there were seven sets of
environmental variables of interest.
9. Characteristics
1. Ambient sediment grain size variables (GS1 – GS4),
2. Depositional environment classification (contrasts
between High, Medium and Low depositional
environments, labeled HvML and MvL).
3. Trapped sediment characteristics (Sdep, gt125, Perfin)
4. Erosion variables (bed height movement, labeled BH and
sdBH)
5. Distance from the mouth of the estuary (D and D2).
6. Chlorophyll a (Chla) and
7. Organics (Ora)
11. We seek to learn to handle various PC programs, to
increase computer skills or the speed of this, we also
learned to distinguish various programs, some of
which are harmful to the pc, as these when they are
installed directly enter and search programs PC Main,
to let this virus, including some come with viruses
already covered, ie programs are disguised virus
(trojans, worms, etc).
We also learned to manage these programs, which
helped us to solve problems of various kinds, various
solutions gave us some shorter than others or more
rapid and more efficient, in short, we facilitated in
many aspects of PC operation.
12. In conclusion to these programs we saw, we learned to
distinguish those harmful to the pc, but others who
help us in different ways, some of us pc facilitates the
management and streamline it, and others help us to
distinguish which programs, files, etc, are harmful or
harmful to the pc.
Thank you for your attention.
