ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announces the availability
in Italy of Zephyrus S (GX531), the latest model in the ROG
Zephyrus series that sets a new standard for ultra-portable
gaming.
With only 15.35 ~ 16.15 mm thick, Zephyrus S is 12%
thinner than the original Zephyrus (GX501). Equipped with
the latest Intel® Core ™ i7-8750H CPU and NVIDIA®
GeForce® GTX 2080 (Max-Q) graphics card, this new laptop
is ideal for both work and play.
The extremely reduced frames allow you to have a 15.6-
inch display, with an update frequency of 144Hz and a
response time of 3ms, in a chassis usually dedicated to
14.2-inch screens. The all-metal frame is sturdy enough to
meet the Military MIL-STD-810G's toughness requirements
without compromising design, with elegant lines and a
premium finish.
An advanced cooling system ensures optimal performance
of all components, thanks to the proprietary Active
Aerodynamic System (AAS) technology, a distinctive
element of the design and engineering typical of the
Zephyrus series.
One of the biggest challenges in making such a thin laptop
is to ensure that the chassis maintains a perfect balance of
strength and weight. To achieve this, Zephyrus S was made
with a mix of aluminum and magnesium alloys. Each cover
is meticulously processed starting from a solid block of
aluminum through a precise CNC milling process that
employs five processing steps and almost 72 minutes to
carve all the details, ensuring a perfect fit and creating an
extraordinarily rigid but at the same time thin structure .

Cooling down the critical components that make up
Zephyrus S is difficult engineering work due to the ultra-
thin design of the laptop, but it is essential to ensure
maximum performance.
To achieve this, ASUS and ROG engineers developed the
innovative Active Aerodynamic System (AAS): a system
consisting of a special air intake that opens under the
frame when the laptop cover is lifted, allowing the
notebook to circulate more fresh air, and a 5mm air inlet
system that extends across the back of the body and
improves airflow (up to 22% compared to traditional
devices). An additional airflow also comes from the keypad
and its raised design offers more space for further cooling
of the entire system.
Five heat pipes run beneath the surface to dissipate the
heat not only of the CPU and GPU, but also of the circuits
that supply them with energy.
This design keeps the components constantly below 80 ° C,
increasing the reliability and durability of the system. The
thermal energy is conveyed along these channels towards
the four heat sinks and the exhaust vents located at the
rear corners, doubled compared to the first Zephyrus
model.
Keeping the heatsinks free of debris is essential to always
have optimal heat dissipation, which is why our engineers
have designed a special anti-dust tunnel that captures and
conveys the particles outside the frame, preventing them

helps to ensure constant cooling performance, improving
long-term stability and reliability.
The twin 12V AeroAccelerator fans feature 83 blades, 17%
more than the original Zephyrus.
The airflow is also enhanced by the shaped aluminum
cladding of the fan, which has curved edges and raised
joints to help convey more air between the blades.
The rotation speeds are determined by an intelligent
algorithm based on three modes: the Turbo mode offers
the highest fan speed to fully exploit the power of
Zephyrus S during the most intense gaming sessions; silent
mode reduces fan speed and power consumption for less
demanding tasks; the balanced mode offers the right
compromise between the two previous modes. Through
some keyboard shortcuts you can switch between the
three different modes of ventilation.
The integrated RGB lighting allows players to customize
the Zephyrus S according to their preferences or to adapt
to the type of game being played. Four independent zones
illuminate the keyboard and some additional LEDs create a
slight glow within the AAS fan.
Aura Sync coordinates selected colors and effects with
compatible peripherals such as the ROG Delta headphones
and the Gladius II Origin mouse, allowing you to customize
your entire gaming configuration in just a few clicks.
Third-party applications can take advantage of this lighting
system through the Aura SDK and ROG is working with
leading developers to increase support in games and other
applications.
The old ROG Game Center is now called Armory Crate, a
single system that allows you to access key features and

limits, so that the volume can reach higher levels without
distorting the sound output or damaging the cones. The
Sonic Studio III adds a surround sound virtualization for an
even deeper dive with stereo headphones and a new APO
injection technology that extends the virtualization of
sound to a wider range of devices, including standard

VR devices.

Sony has announced the development of CEB-G128, a new
generation 2-type ultra-fast CFexpress memory card, ideal
for professional and industrial use. Thanks to the speed of
1700 MB / s read, combined with a solidity that makes it
totally reliable, this support is ready for the future
evolution of digital devices.
Designed to bring the already excellent performance and
added value of the Sony memory card range to a new
level, the CFexpress type B is based on a new specification,
which adopts the updated PCIe® 3 Gen3 interface,
standardized by the CompactFlash Association .
The CFexpress memory card type B offers 128 GB of
capacity, but in the future it is also expected to launch
versions of 256 GB and 512 GB. The CFexpress memory
card type B is about 3 times faster than the flagship model
of the Sony range of CFast, which reaches a reading speed
of 530 MB / s. With a write speed of 1480 MB / s, this new
card lends itself both to the secure recording of industrial
data and to the needs of professionals working with high
resolution images or high bit rate video.

Sony CFexpress also resists extreme temperatures, X-rays,

A true American dream is about to be realized at the

Inheriting the characteristics of extreme compactness and
