Acronis has released the Anniversary edition of Acronis True
Image 2019, its backup software that has won numerous
awards. In announcing the announcement, Acronis
revealed that its artificial intelligence-based anti-
ransomware technology, integrated into all of its backup
solutions, including the new product, blocked more than
200,000 ransomware attacks against 150,000 customers
last year. Considering that currently the average ransom
demand is $ 522 for each attack, the defense saved $ 104
million in damages.
If Mac computers in the past ran a lower risk of being prey
to these attacks, now sales are growing and the increased
popularity makes them a more desirable target for
cybercriminals. Palo Alto Networks expects increased
ransomware targeting Mac systems in 2018.
Acronis has had the foresight to include an integrated anti-
ransomware defense system for Mac already in the last
year's version of Acronis True Image and this particular
attention is just the latest example of how Acronis
constantly redefines the concept of data protection.

Virtual machines can now be restored as a set of files that

An improved file-to-cloud format increases the reliability
and performance of online backups for Mac. This means
that the already very rapid cloud backup (results confirmed
by tests by various independent laboratories) is now even
better.
There are three editions of Acronis True Image 2019:
• Standard is a perpetual license designed for customers
who store their data only on local units. There are no
storage or cloud-based features. The base rate is EUR 49.99
for a computer.
• Advanced is a one-year subscription that includes 250 GB
of Acronis cloud storage and access to all cloud-based
features. The base rate is € 49.99 per year for a computer.
• Premium is a one-year subscription that includes data
encryption and blockchain signature and 1 TB of Acronis
cloud storage. The base rate is 99.99 EUR per year for a
computer.
All versions include Acronis Active Protection against
ransomware and cover an unlimited number of mobile
devices. Subscriber customers can purchase additional
cloud storage as needed.
