To respond to the growing market demand for 4K content
of various genres, from films and documentaries made by
independent directors to corporate, school and religious
shooting, Canon announces the launch of the XA45 in the
EMEA region. This new professional camcorder, featuring
20x optical zoom and a 1 / 2.3 "type CMOS sensor, is
capable of shooting 4K UHD or Full HD in XF-AVC [1] and
MP4 format, offering users maximum creative flexibility.
XA45 is the evolution of the XA40 model (launched in
2019) and adds a 3G-SDI output terminal that allows you
to connect to normal equipment for broadcast production
and live streaming, responding to the growing demand for
IP connections professional.
Weighing around 730 grams (body only), the XA45 is an
ultra-compact 4K UHD camera. Despite its small size, the
combination of a 1 / 2.3 "type 4K UHD CMOS sensor and
DIGIC DV6 processor delivers high-quality, sharp 4K UHD
and Full HD images thanks to HD oversampling, to meet
the growing demand for high quality content.

Per rispondere alla crescente richiesta del mercato di
contenuti 4K di vario genere, dai film e documentari
realizzati da registi indipendenti alle riprese in ambito
corporate, scolastico e religioso, Canon annuncia il lancio
di XA45 nell'area EMEA. Questa nuova videocamera
professionale, dotata di zoom ottico da 20x e di un sensore
CMOS di tipo 1/2,3", è in grado di eseguire riprese 4K UHD
o Full HD in formato XF-AVC[1] e MP4, offrendo agli utenti
la massima flessibilità creativa. XA45 è l'evoluzione del
modello XA40 (lanciato nel 2019) e aggiunge un terminale
di uscita 3G-SDI che consente di collegarsi alle normali
attrezzature per le produzioni broadcast e il live streaming,
rispondendo alla crescente richiesta di connessioni IP
professionali.
Con un peso di circa 730 grammi (solo corpo), XA45 è una
videocamera 4K UHD ultracompatta. Nonostante le
dimensioni ridotte, la combinazione di un sensore CMOS
4K UHD di tipo 1/2,3" e il processore DIGIC DV6 offre

The XA45 marks a step up from the XA15 and XA11 models
by also offering users the XF-AVC professional recording
format, which allows integration into professional
workflows with additional metadata, and therefore more
creative possibilities in post-production. The camera allows
you to shoot in XF-AVC format in 4K UHD 25p at 160 Mbps
and in Full HD [2] at 45 Mbps.
Cameras such as XA45 help to make “future-proof”
shooting, in line with the growing demand of 4K content,
without forgetting the Full HD format which is still very
popular. In Full HD mode, the XA45 offers different frame
rates: 25P, 50P and 50i.
For professionals who need faster operating times without
compromising on quality, the XA45 is also capable of
recording in 4K/UHD format to SD cards using the MP4
format.
2020 saw an acceleration of live streaming in several
sectors. For many of these, such as the education and
corporate sectors, the need for reliable equipment capable
of streaming high-quality content has grown as many
businesses and educational institutions move to the virtual
world. XA45 is able to meet this challenge thanks to the
3G-SDI terminal.
In addition, the availability of both SDI and HDMI outputs
allows the camera to be integrated into multiple live
streaming configurations.
Equipped with a high quality 20x optical zoom, the XA45,
despite its compact size, guarantees an excellent focal

Il 2020 ha registrato un'accelerazione del live streaming in
diversi settori. Per molti di questi, come il settore
scolastico e corporate, l'esigenza di apparecchiature
affidabili in grado di trasmettere in streaming contenuti di
elevata qualità è cresciuta con il passaggio di molte
aziende e istituti scolastici al mondo virtuale. XA45 è in
grado di rispondere a questa sfida grazie al terminale 3G-
SDI. Inoltre, la disponibilità di entrambe le uscite SDI e
HDMI, consente di integrare la videocamera in molteplici
configurazioni di live streaming.

In December 2020, Canon launched a firmware update for
its XF405 / XF400, XA40 / XA45, XA55 / XA50, LEGRIA HF
G60 and HF G50 range of cameras.
The update confirmed the XA45's compatibility with the
Custom Picture feature, which allows you to adjust image
settings, such as sharpness, saturation, complexion details
and noise reduction, giving you more creative flexibility.
But the customization possibilities don't stop there: users
can in fact assign additional functions to programmable
buttons, such as zebra, peaking and markers.
XA45 supports professional audio recording. The
detachable handle holds two standard 3-pin XLR terminals
for external microphones, ensuring support for two- or
four-channel audio recording. The handle also features 48V
Phantom, line and mic inputs and an integrated stereo
microphone as well as a standard 3.5mm stereo jack that
can power an external microphone.
The XA45 camcorder will be available from the end of
February at the suggested retail price of € 2,049 including
VAT.

certification from PANTONE LLC, following the evaluation
of the printer's color gamut against the full Pantone color
gamut. The certificate confirms that with the LabelStream
4000 series, customers are able to reliably and consistently
produce an extraordinarily wide range of Pantone colors.
The PANTONE® Capable certificate recognizes that the
LabelStream 4000 Series, an industrial-class, four- to six-
color UV inkjet label printer, is capable of reproducing
1,740 (81.3%) of the 2,140 Pantone Solid Formula Guide
coated colors, using the CMYKO 5-color ink set and
adopting an absolute tolerance Delta E 2000 <1.5. By
applying a Delta E of 2, widely used in daily production, it
