Nature tourism – responsible travel to natural areas, which conserves the environment and improves the welfare of local people.
It is tourism based on the natural attractions of an area. Examples include birdwatching, photography, stargazing, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, and visiting parks. These experiential tourists are interested in a diversity of natural and cultural resources. They want what is real, and they want to be immersed in a rich natural, cultural, or historical experience.
Couple camping, one of the many activities that can be enjoyed as a nature tourist.
From the standpoint of conservation, nature-based tourism provides incentives for local communities and landowners to conserve wildlife habitats upon which the industry depends – it promotes conservation by placing an increased value on remaining natural areas. As nature tourism becomes more important to the local economy, communities have additional incentive to conserve their remaining natural areas for wildlife and wildlife enthusiasts.
The nature-based tourism efforts in Texas will continue to focus on achieving habitat conservation by providing information and assistance to private landowners, communities, businesses, and local community leaders wishing to make nature-based tourism an integral part of their business and community. By empowering people at the local level, we hope to build and provide guidance to a growing industry that holds great promise for sustainable economic development and conservation of wildlife habitat.

ABSTRACT: Tourism is now globally a rising industry during last few decades. But Religious-Tourism is marked by its antiquity. Haridwar ( 29058/ N Latitude & 78010/ E longitude ) is not only a famous religious tourist spot for the Hindus but also attractive for other domestic and foreign tourists because of its marvellous geographic location and physico-cultural tourist resources. Undoubtedly, tourism development leads to economic development of a region. Haridwar is not exceptional to this. As a religious tourist spot it has some speciality also. But it has been observed that there is some negative impact of tourism on the aforesaid region. Of all these, during the religious festivals environmental pollution prevails on a large scale. The main objectives of the paper is to evaluate tourism infrastructure (i.e. transport, hotel etc.), economic significance of Religious Tourism and focus on environmental problems due to tourism development. Besides this, some suggestions have also been given to promote better tourism.

Demographic Characteristics Influencing Satisfaction Level of Pilgrims A Case...ijtsrd
Pilgrimage tourism in India is extremely popular. Major sites of pilgrimage dhams like Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Amarnathji, Shri Shiv Khori, Budha Amaranth and temples under Kangra valley Shrines like Jwalaji, Chitpurni, Chamunda Devi have existed in this region.Even though there has been a lot of research in religious tourism and still there is very limited research that identifies the distinctiveness in behaviour among tourists with different demographic factors. The present study attempted to explore the perception of religious tourism behaviour with different sociodemographic backgrounds. The present study was an attempt made to measure the satisfaction level of the pilgrims regarding different services available to them at various shrines and to find out various problems faced by them. But due to resource, time and cost constraints it was not possible to select all the shrines of Northern India, so the three shrines of Northern India namely Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Jwalaji and Shiv Khori has been selected as these three shrines are geographically identical with respect to pilgrimage. The aim of the research was to ascertain the satisfaction level of pilgrims visiting the holy shrines as per their demographic profile.
