The document is a user manual for the arcade-style brick breaking game "Tornado Brick Smasher" developed by Clayton Schembri. It contains information about gameplay, controls, levels, powerups, scoring, and winning/losing conditions. The player controls a paddle to hit a ball and break bricks of different colors and point values across 5 levels. Powerups can provide temporary paddle modifications. The goal is to break all bricks in a level before losing all balls.
Balancing Fruit - IAPA presentation 26/11/15Andrew Saul
When we first saw the analytics around the behaviour of players playing the mini games in the 5th anniversary update for Fruit Ninja we were very surprised: They weren't playing them as we had designed them to be played.
When we looked further into the numbers we saw that players had found new, un-fun ways to interact with the mini games that we hadn't anticipated. We acted fast and pushed an update to save our players' fun.
This is an expanded version of the presentation deck I presented at a recent IAPA meeting.

We've lined up a selection of local lads to all share a slide of Australian history - four presenters who will each give us a personal story of adversity to triumph - Fruit Ninja Triumphs at that!!"

Hearts is a very popular windows game, but not yet available on social and mobile. The documentation would help in understanding how game can be tweaked to suit social gaming and how different aspects can be used to monetize the game. I am looking for partners who may help me in building this game.

As the game begun the user has five ball's available for him
and in order to play the game the player controls the
"Tornik" , which in simple terms can be referred to as the
"paddle".
The paddle will be responsible in preventing the ball from
leaving the game environment, by giving the ball the
necessary force and angulations and hence bounce it back
against, the walls and the number of bricks available in the
particular level.
Life System
When the ball leave the game environment a ball will be
removed from the balls available and the ball will be reset
back on the paddle, enabling the player to continue playing
the game.
In order to help the player, in the panel found at the top of
each level, apart having the balls available and also the

score progress, there is also listed how many bricks are
available in each level and that on every brick broken the
initial value is updated (Subtracted).
Bricks
The bricks available in the game are textured in 4 different
colors, which are (Red,Green,Blue,Pink). In order to make
the game more fun and difficult to beat. Every color has a
so called "Strength" limit, which are.
1. Red: 4 hits must be given
2. Pink: 3 hits must be given.
3. Blue: 2 hits must be given.
4. Green: 1 hit must give.
Hence when the ball strikes a brick it weakness the
strength of the brick by one, and after the required hits the
brick than will disappear, and even so on breaking a brick
a pleasant explosion effect is triggered based on the color
of the brick called "EnerKi".

Also every brick color has a number of points associated
with it.

following effect are applied on the paddle.
1. Tiny Paddle: Making the Paddle small.

A game without some form of music is boring and after a
wide selection of what is popular at the moment; we have
managed to implement some of the best tracks around in

Input key and paddle Movement
Note: that the game can also be played with an XBOX
360 controllers, but we strongly recommend using a
keyboard instead as it is much simpler to manage the
paddle movement
The only keys that required in order to play this simple
game are:
1.To move the paddle on the left hand side.
2.To move the paddle on the right hand side.
3.In order to launch the ball.
The combination of keys can be used, at the player
advantage.
Example: by moving the paddle and launching the ball
at the same time the ball will be fire with more force
and at a different angulations.
