2. I dream of going
to Tahiti
I lead a busy life, with lots of people around. When I
get overwhelmed, I always think of going away to
Tahiti, where I can sit alone, reading a book under a
palm tree and be anonymous.
3. I want to finish my
book
There never seems to be free time for me to
concentrate on a book I’m writing. I want to find
ample time and a quiet space to do that.
4. I dream of a peaceful
Afghanistan
I’ve worked on educational programs in Afghanistan
for the past 8 years. Peace seems to elude this
country, yet I know it can happen.
5. I want all my kids to
never lose their dreams
My kids are the young men and women of Afghanistan
I’ve worked with. They have many challenges in their
lives and it’s easy to lose hope. I don’t want them to
ever give up or lose that hope for a better future.
6. Dreams are…
The light in our eyes,
The joy in our hearts,
The fire in our souls,
The one thing no one can take away from us
7. Dreams
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.
