The topic of teenage romance and sex has always been charged, but today’s pervasive digital technology has succeeded in turning up the wattage. Some parents have an easy and open channel with their adolescent around all things amorous while other find the subject painfully awkward and try to avoid it altogether. Regardless of where you and your teenager sit on this spectrum, the digital world puts a new spin on some of the timeless challenges of coming age.
From the very first day that a prospect opens your admissions materials, they have a relationship with you. Introduction
With the increased forms of PC games such as Pong, league of legends and online games, computer games have turned to be the most influential and profitable kind of business and entertainment today. However, following a recent finding, computer games have turned out to be one of the most addictive games for both youths and parents as many are played Universities and homes hence the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. According to Nieborg and de Kloet (2016) claim that the computer games market has developed and kept on growing at a phenomenal speed in the Scandinavian regions, not forgetting Sweden at large as it is so admired leisure activity among children, adolescents, and some parents.
Aim
This research aims to find out the disadvantages of computer gaming among children and adolescents. Furthermore, it tries to explain why children and adolescents turned out to be addicted while examining the social norms as well as the day-to-day habits of the addicts.

The findings showed that children and adolescents play computer games compulsively, isolating themselves from social contact and focusing almost entirely on in-game achievements instead of out-game life events like playing soccer, athletics, as well as socializing with relatives and friends. Also, the computer game addicts tend to value so much the indoor computer game compared to out-door field and track events. Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

The professor points out that this kind of study make an assumption which can be false in a lot of
situations: the environment assumption.
To sum up, the professor says that we must keep in mind the assumption the study makes when we
evaluate the results it concludes.

Do you think that television programs, movies, and video games influence young people´s
behavior?
I think that it is obvious that all media products have a remarked influence in young people. However,
my point here is that it usually has the same influence as other experiences young people live, as for
example their relationship with their parents or with their friends.
Media products have experimented an increasing of their capacity of influencing people in the last
decade. TV programs and movies have been designed for making money and it is done by making
people do some things as for example, to make them buy a determined product. Nowadays, this
industry has a lot of resources for carrying this task out and they are successful. I have to recognize that
I have bought lots of products of The Lord of the Rings, only because of the movies and now I don´t
know even where they are. It is also true that video games are capable of creating a very realistic
atmosphere where the player feels a lot of experiences he would not feel if they did not exist. So it is
also true video games have a deep impact on young peoples´s behavior. In fact I have a friend who
spends all nights playing video games in the Internet and it has changed his lifestyle.
2. However, some people have come out with the idea that this kind of influence is very bad. This opinion
is reinforced by some extreme cases has happened lately. For example, two years ago, a kid killed his
parents with a katana. The people who was investigating the case found out that the killer had a
determined video game. A lot of people inferred that this sad situation was due to that video game and
they do not stop to think about other possible causes, as for example, the education this guy could have
received from his parent, or his mental state.
To sum up, I think young people is very susceptible to media products so it is a labor of their parents to
educate them according to this fact rather than claiming against media products.
