Effective Resume Writing TIP #1: One page max! Cover letter is a nice to do, but a strong resume is priority #1 .
TIP #2: Use clear, concise communication and edit ruthlessly. This will force you to effectively dimensionalize your skills/experiences & accomplishments. Ineffective and verbose resumes will be a barrier to finding a job. Effective Resume Writing

A little Context, Action of what you did, and quantitative/qualitative Result.  Do NOT just list your responsibilities. This same format in writing an effective resume can be used during an interview.
