Artificial Intelligence and The Marketing Industry: The Threat, the Opportuni...Melissa Rynn
Artificial Intelligence is set to ‘revolutionise’ workplaces across the UK, bringing $15.7 million to the global economy and replacing up to 30% of jobs. But what does artificial intelligence actually mean to marketers? Just how far will AI impact our daily lives?
A presentation for The Marketing Society Scotland's Trendspotting series, Wire explore the facts and where the opportunity lies. And, while we can't predict everything, why getting ready now is the most important step you can take.
Esko Kilpi- Challenging Our Traditional Beliefs About Business and WorkOuiShare
The words of business adn work is at a pivotal moment of change: we finally uderstand that post-industrial work IS interaction. The relational view is a new conceptualization of work, and is opening up new opportunities: it is time to change the focus from creating jobs to creating customers — in new, innovative and interactive ways.
To quote Max Planck: “If you change the way you look at things, the things that you look at change.”
We need to challenge our beliefs in work and business.

Decentralization is already here, but it hasn't been evenly distributed. Based on his research, William Mougayar describes where we are in decentralization along three dimensions: Trust: Law, Governance, Industry Services (Financial, Government, Trade, Healthcare), Wealth: Economic Production, Flow of value, Transactions, and Information: Content, Privacy, Security. In this talk, Mougayar also defines the building blocks of decentralization: Peer-to-Peer Models, Trust-based Systems and Services, Autonomous Organizations, and Wealth Creation Methods in the New Crypto-Economy.

Report 2 empathic things – intimate technology - from wearables to biohackin...Rick Bouter
In the second report we focused on the personalized internet of things. We are witnessing a computer boom in terms of kinds, shapes and sizes – around, on or inside the body. Therefore we explored the coming transition toward a more empathic and contextual form of computerization. The emergence of wearable computing and other forms of empathic ‘things’ seems a logical further step: even more intimate, more human-oriented, and ubiquitous. We explored this development and present seven manifestations that can define the impact on business, such as the ‘quantified employee’ and the ‘body as the new password’.

Google handles over 3 billion searches a day, Amazon offers a storefront with 600 million unique items, Facebook users post 6 billion pieces of content sailing, all with the aid of complex algorithmic systems that respond to a constant influx of new data, adversarial activity by those trying to game the system, and changing preferences of users. These systems represent breakthroughs in the governance of complex, interacting systems, with algorithms that must be constantly updated to respond to rapidly changing conditions. The economy as a whole is also full of complex, interacting systems, but we still try to manage those systems with 20th century tools and processes. Evolution of Social Media and its effects on Knowledge OrganisationCollabor8now Ltd
There has been a lot of hype around social media, social networks and social business, much of it unhelpful in understanding what this is all about. For some people, “social” will always mean frivolity and time wasting. For others, social media just means marketing and communications.
The evolution of social media over the past several years has made it easier than ever before to find, connect and engage with “experts” and people with similar interests. Enlightened organisations have recognised that investment in social technologies and (most importantly) the organisational change required in order to nurture and embed a collaborative culture, can overcome the limitations of silo’d structures that have traditionally inhibited information flows and opportunities for innovation.
In a broader context, the pervasive and ubiquitous availability of social media in almost all aspects of daily life, from the way we communicate, get information, buy and sell, travel, live and learn is adding to the pressure on organisations to provide a more porous interface between internal (behind the firewall) and external services. Knowledge workers are increasingly making their own decisions on what tools, products and services that they need to work more effectively and will become increasingly disaffected if these are not available within the work environment.
This presentation looks at industry trends on how social media and social technologies are changing the way that we generate, organise and consume knowledge, and how this is driving emergent digital literacies for knowledge workers.

Let's Talk: fundamentals of conversational designNikita Lukianets
I had a pleasure to teach conversation design at Lviv Data Science Summer School. We’ve discussed architectural approaches, covered semantic funnels and goal-oriented conversations. This presentation was used as a support material and I decided to share it with a wider audience. There are multiple articles introducing chatbots as a concept, including the main architectural principles behind. I’m not going to talk about them here, but rather I am presenting the anatomy of conversation and useful resources to get started with design and development: links to platforms, dialog engines, prototyping tools, connectors, intent recognition, and conversation analytics tools.
Technology should be a beneficial force in our lives, taking the world in exciting new directions and making us better humans. To ensure this, we need to facilitate a conversation between data technology and the human experience. Keeping social responsibility and ethical behavior in mind when designing AI systems enables us to put the right systems in place to contribute to the society we want, fostering higher levels of cognitive and emotional skills.
Jivan Virdee and Hollie Lubbock explore how to address fairness, accountability, and the long-term effects on our society when designing with data, focusing on four key areas for consideration in this space:
— Responsibility and accountability for machine learning systems
— Fair and transparent data science
— Trust and human-machine collaboration
—Automation and changes in the way we work
Along the way, they cover key issues in creating ethical AI systems and detail how we might go about tackling them and outline further questions that will need to be addressed going forward.

Nathan Schneider- Introduction to Platform CooperativismOuiShare
The seeds are being planted for a new kind of online economy—one owned and governed by the people who depend on it. For all the wonders the Internet brings us, it is dominated by an economics of monopoly, extraction, and surveillance. Ordinary users retain little control over their personal data, and the digital workplace is creeping into every corner of workers’ lives. Online platforms often exploit and exacerbate existing inequalities in society, even while promising to be the great equalizers. Could the Internet be owned and governed differently? What if Uber drivers could set up their own platform, or if cities could control their own version of Airbnb? What if we had an Internet of ownership?

Marguerite Grandjean- Power to the Contributors? Governance Models in the Col...OuiShare
Today, collaborative organizations rely on many external contributors to provide the services they offer. How can platforms share the decision-making power with their external contributors? How can they reward and associate contributors while meeting their own organizational requirements? How can governance be a factor to make an organization more sustainable as well as making the stakeholders feel recognized?
Many collaborative organizations are already experimenting with governance processes and structures in order to better integrate their stakeholders. To illustrate this, Marguerite will share the experience of 3 French examples drawn the study "Gouvernances", which she is co-leading for OuiShare:
- France Barter is a B2B barter system structured as a multistakeholder cooperative.
- Mon Pti Voisinage is a neighborhood social network that aggregates collaborative services in a given area.
- Practishare is a open source no nprofit platform that helps communities share solutions and organize knowledge.

Susanne Tarkowski Tempelhof- The State of the Nation: Blochains, Not BordersOuiShare
The Nation State, as we know it, is going away. It’s an outdated construct that does more harm than good, because of its ‘one-size-fits-all’ modality. How do we ensure that the post-nation state reality doesn’t turn into an even more dystopian society, a la 1984? By creating open source protocols for city states and virtual nations, we will build a free and competitive market for governance. Indeed, two already existing models will be discussed, Liberland and Bitnation.

Duncan McLaren- A Case for Truly Smart and Sustainable CitiesOuiShare
Based on research for our MIT book “Sharing Cities”, this presentation argues the case for cities to harness sharing for justice and sustainability. I will highlight the failings of economic framings of sharing and smartness, which position commercial intermediaries as the go-to experts on sharing; rather than the cities, charities and communities that have much longer and deeper experience in managing shared resources, spaces, infrastructures, facilities and services.
Such framings also underlie fruitless polarized public debate over the potential and role of commercial sharing platforms such as Uber and Airbnb. Genuine sharing cities need to both enable and regulate the collaborative economy. But they also have the power and opportunity to harness the potential of sharing to rebuild social capital and a shared urban commons. I will outline ways in which cities that open themselves to cultural and political disruption can flourish by engaging with the rich diversity of sharing practices and organisations that are enabled by modern technologies and collective values.

The Internet has so far been really good at helping people to do things together. But once there is money involved, we still need to create 20th century legal entities and collect money in black boxes. This talk will try to outline some of the possible features of Twenty-First Century institutions and large organisations for a future that looks both more human and networked, but also more automated and robotic. Ezio Manzini- Sharing, Collaborating and Relational GoodsOuiShare
Sharing means collaborating. And collaboration stands for “an exchange in which the participants benefit from the encounter” (Sennet 2012)[1]. Doing so, they exchange something (time, experiences, expertise) to achieve a mutually recognized result. At the same time, they produce, as precious side effect, relational goods, as trust, friendliness, empathy, mutual attention and care.
My proposal is to use this relational goods production as norm of reading to evaluate sharing innovations and their evolution from first ideas to mature solutions.
Adopting this point of view, it can be easily recognized that, where at the beginning the majority of sharing ideas and practices were collaborative and capable to produce relational goods, in their evolution towards maturity, different innovation paths have been followed. The result is that some of them have totally lost their original collaborative character, and some others maintained it, adapting it to the new conditions. That is, finding the way to extend collaborative behaviours from the initial small groups of enthusiasts, to larger number of active, but far less committed actors.
My presentation focuses on this second path and, moving from here, discusses how sharing innovations can evolve, become mature and spread maintaining their collaborative dimension. That is, producing, reproducing and amplifying relational goods in the normal everybody’s everyday life. In other words, my proposal is that, for the sharing movement, after the gold rush there could be the challenging perspective of a disruptive normality: a condition in which, for a growing number of people, it becomes normal to think and behave in contrast with the unsustainable ideas and behaviours that, unfortunately, are still mainstream.

of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,

Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.
https://seribangash.com/promotors-is-person-conceived-formation-company/
Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

Editor's Notes
As European who’s been living in California for 13 years, this is still mostly how I feel.
And this is also how I feel about the future of work.
Let me explain why.
As a consequence it is anticipated that significant parts of knowledge jobs will be automated and delegated to machines, as shown in a study at Oxford University
When even layers become augmented through AI, it really becomes an unwinnable argument.
IN 2020, THREE speakers will appear onstage to deliver a TED talk and compete for $5 million. But these presenters will share a unique characteristic that sets them apart from TED talkers who came before them: They won’t be human.
Instead, the talks will be delivered by artificially intelligent systems, all of them finalists in a newly announced XPRIZE for cognitive computing.
There was a time when a great brand could be considered your best friend — someone who was a close confidante, even part of your family. In the future, the hallmark of a great brand will be that it’s your best robot. The term “post-human brand” was recently introduced by Tracy Follows in the Guardian. She characterizes it as “the augmented human” that is “tracking, hacking, monitoring, predicting, augmenting, creating, and recording us and our surrounding environment to improve, augment, or enhance our health and wellbeing.”
Fueled by our personal data, the post-human brand harvests our cognitive and mental energy like in The Matrix. It is the “experience machine” that we can program according to our needs and that might eventually program us. It analyzes, maximizes, and optimizes in real-time, and it knows what we want before we even know it.
At first glance, this seems counterintuitive. In our age, comfort is king. Software has made us softer.
Instant gratification and total convenience have become the default modes of interaction.
And soon Amazon (or Uber) drones will instantly deliver all that we desire to our doorstep.
.
.
In fact, there’s even one to track and optimize our performance in bed.
And soon we will fall in love with our operating systems.
“The great question isn’t whether machines can think, but whether human beings can still feel.” Manohla Dargis pointed out in a New York Times review of the movie Her.
Everything is outsourced and automated, familiar and convenient. Where do we find those unexpected and profound experiences that punctuate our lives? Where is the unknown, where are the strangers? Where is the magic?
We are at risk of engineering the romance out of our lives: the ultimate differential in a world of maximizers and optimizers.
