Your child’s teacher has already met with you or informed you about his/her Tier I - Personal
Education Plan and informed you that a Tier II plan was developed with the grade level team.
Both the Tier I and Tier II plan include strategies designed to help your child in areas that he/she
is experiencing difficulty. The Student Study Team will meet and discuss the previous
interventions and offer additional strategies about ways your child can best be served at our
school. Our school uses the Student Study Team process, a series of assessments and
interventions, to help determine the true nature of your child’s difficulty and to use the
information to develop an effective plan that will help increase his/her level of performance at
school.
Since you know your child best, we would like to invite you to the meeting so you can give your
insights so that together we can develop a comprehensive plan (Tier III). Below is the scheduled
meeting date and time. If you are unable to attend, we will send you a copy of minutes from the
meeting and make you aware of any decision the team may reach.
The SST meets on a regular basis to offer assistance to students, teachers, and parents regarding
