Two teenage girls, Jess and Tay, receive a mysterious text message inviting Jess to meet in the woods. They decide to cut through the woods on a short journey. Once in the woods, Tay begins hearing strange sounds and wants to leave but Jess insists they continue. Tay then turns around to find Jess has disappeared, with only a trail leading further into the dark woods. The film will follow what actually happened to Jess as Tay tries to find her friend.

Thriller project presentation
- 1. Produced by Connor Lovatt and Joe Leah
- 2. • • • • The film will be a Horror/Thriller based in a woodland setting. There are two characters involved in our thriller opening (Jess and Tay). The general outline of our plot is that both the girls are starting their day normally when Jess receives a message saying ‘Fancy finally meeting up, cut through the wood if you like?’ from an unknown number. Jess tells Tay about the person she has been taking too and suggests that they go (over text). Tay agrees and they set of on the short journey. Several shots see them walking eventually getting to the woods end entering. Once inside the lighting is limited and Tay begins to hear sounds and keeps turning back to what it is, suggesting they go back because something's not right. But Jess just tells her to stop being silly and ignores her. After several times of turning around Tay turns back around to find Jess has gone with a trail leading off, to hear a distant scream. The opening has now finished and ends with a fading shot of the forest which they are trapped in.
- 3. • Jess- is a young girl aged 16 who attends sixth form at Tupton. • This is the character goes missing during the opening of the thriller and the rest of the story will be about what actually happened. • Tay- is also a young girl aged 17 who is good friends with Jess and attends the sixth form too. • Although she doesn’t always agree with the decisions Jess makes, for example the opening clip she is always there for support and really does care about her. So when it all goes wrong she doesn’t know what to do. We choose two girls for the sixth form to make the film feel much more realistic played by two girls the same age.
