Theodore Roosevelt was the twenty-sixth President of the United States
His family was born into a wealthy family in  New York City   the second of four children of Theodore Roosevelt, Sr. (1831–1878) and Mittie Bulloch (1835–1884) Had an elder sister Anna and two younger siblings—his brother Elliott and his sister Corinne
His education Theodore Roosevelt began his "classroom" education at Harvard, in Cambridge Massachusetts. As a boy Roosevelt had attended school for a short period, but his health prevented normal schooling for much of the time. At Cambridge he would meet some life long friends and colleagues.
TR was one of the original members of the American Institute of Arts and Letters   was one of the first fifteen elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters   was a founder of the Boone and Crocket Club, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and the Long Island Bird Club also established himself as a historian and as a naturalist
