This document discusses physical resources in the Caribbean region. It defines physical/natural resources as materials provided by nature that can be exploited by humans, including land, minerals, and elements needed for agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism. Physical resources are classified as either renewable, which can regenerate within a reasonable timeframe, or non-renewable, which cannot be replenished. Examples of each for the Caribbean are provided. The document also lists the main minerals found within CARICOM countries and provides an assignment on measures governments can take to remove financial constraints hindering resource development.
