KNOWING
The Word
01
- Is there really a
God out there?
- Is it only one God
or there is others?
- Can we really get to
know Him?
- Is God the same for
Christians, Jews
or Muslims?
- Do all religions
lead to God?
- Is religion a figment of
human imagination?
Psalms 14:1-3
Psalms 14:1-3
The fool has said in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt,
They have done abominable works,
There is none who does good.
The LORD looks down from heaven upon the
children of men, to see if there are any who
understand, who seek God.
They have all turned aside,
They have together become corrupt;
There is none who does good, No, not one.
- How many are
seeking God?
- How do we seek Him?
- Where do we find Him?
- Is He in church?
- Is He in heaven?
- How do we get there?
- What does He want with us?
Jeremiah 9:23-24
Jeremiah 9:23-24
Thus says the LORD:
“Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Let not the mighty man glory in his might,
Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
But let him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows Me,
That I am the LORD, exercising loving kindness,
judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these I delight,” says the LORD.
- How can we get to know Him?
- Is the Bible really His word?
- Why the Bible and not other books?
- What makes this book so special?
- Who wrote the Bible?
- God or men?
2 Timothy 3:16
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness
- What does it mean
to be inspired?
- Were the writers
possessed by God?
- Could they have written
their own words?
- Is it really
the word of God?
- How can we
trust in it?
- Have these writings
stood the trial
of time?
Psalms 119:89-91
Psalms 119:89-91
Forever, O LORD,
Your word is settled in heaven.
Your faithfulness endures to all generations;
You established the earth, and it abides.
They continue this day according to Your
ordinances, for all are Your servants.
- What is written in the Bible?
- What is its message?
- What are those stories telling us?
- Who is telling us the story?
- Is it a History book then?
- What about the book of Revelations?
- How can God know the end of the story
if it has not happened yet?
- Can only God know the future?
Isaiah 41:22-23
Isaiah 41:22-23
Let them bring forth and show us what will
happen; Let them show the former things, what
they were, that we may consider them,
and know the latter end of them;
Or declare to us things to come.
Show the things that are to come hereafter,
That we may know that you are gods;
Yes, do good or do evil,
That we may be dismayed and see it together.
- Can only God know the future?
- Who is God?
- How does He reveals Himself to us?
- How many are looking for Him?
- Who has found Him?
- Can we know Him personally and
have a relationship with him?
- Do we really want to know Him?
- Why do we look for Him and not find Him?
- Whose initiative is it?
- Ours or God’s?
John 6:44
John 6:44
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent
Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last
day.
- Has God called me?
- Can I hear Him?
- What can we do to
get Him to call us?
- Can we gain his favor
by being good?
- Should we pray and ask him to call us?
- Does He listen to everyone?
John 9:31
John 9:31
Now we know that God does not hear sinners;
but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does
His will, He hears him.
- Am I a sinner?
- Is there any hope for us?
- How can we do God’s will?
- Can we hear God’s voice?
- How many voices come to
our heads?
- Which one is God’s voice?
- Can we recognize it?
- How does God talk to us?
Hebrews 1:1-2
Hebrews 1:1-2
God, who at various times and in various ways
spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,
has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom
He has appointed heir of all things, through whom
also He made the worlds.

- Is there any other message
beside what is written
in the Bible?
- What does it mean when
someone has a word of God for us?
- Can we add to the word of God?
- Why does God protect His word?
2 Peter 1:19
2 Peter 1:19
And so we have the prophetic word confirmed,
which you do well to heed as a light that shines
in a dark place, until the day dawns and the
morning star rises in your hearts.
- Is the Bible protecting us?
- Does His word illuminate
our understanding?
- Why can’t I see the light?
- How come I don’t get it?
- Why am I unable to
hear God’s voice?
- What am I doing wrong?
- Is there a reason?
Ephesians 2:1-2
Ephesians 2:1-2
And you He made alive, who were dead in
trespasses and sins, in which you once walked
according to the course of this world, according to
the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who
now works in the sons of disobedience

the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You
have sent.
