Romans 8e The Love of God is forever
1. Faith in Jesus Christ will save any man or woman from sin and from hell, And for Heaven; eternity with God. 1-23-11
2. Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope : but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it . ( expectation with confidence and pleasure ) 1 Corinthians 15 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed , 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible , and we shall be changed .
3. This is the final step of salvation and it was in that anticipation that we were saved. The redemption of the body obviously has not yet occurred (Who hopes for what he already has?), but it is hoped for and eagerly anticipated with steadfast endurance in present sufferings. The Bible Knowledge Commentary: An Exposition of the Scriptures by Dallas Seminary Faculty. Though we desire the deliverance from this body of death and corruption, We can patiently wait for it, because we have such absolute confidence in its coming.
4. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. We have talked much about our weaknesses that are a result of living in this flesh. We are prone to stumble in our walk with God, to wander from His side, to fail to pray and study His Word. But thank God for the help and strength of His Holy Spirit in us.
5. Sometimes we are in trouble , and we have no understanding of how to escape the trouble. We look up to God, but we don't even know what to pray for or how to ask God to intercede . We don't have the words to talk with God. The Holy Spirit will convey our need to the Father.
6. 27 And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh inter-cession for the saints accordin g to the Will of God . God's Holy Spirit helps us, not only when we know we are in trouble, but all the time . Even when we think we know how to pray, we don't know perfectly the Will of God . The Holy Spirit always intercedes for us according to God's Perfect Will. When we pray in God's Will , He hears and answers our prayers. 1 John 5:14-15
7. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His Purpose. "Good" is a closer walk with God. "Good" is to have God's blessings . "Good" is to be in God's Perfect Will . And know this , God's Will is Perfect and Good. "Good" is not defined by the desires of the flesh , but rather the desires of the spirit .
8. Again : 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His Purpose. "All things" are not good . Persecution is not good. Sickness is not good . Depression is not good. Pain is not good . But God can use all of these to work "good" in us.
9. Again : 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His Purpose. By His Holy Spirit, God works in all things: all situations, all persecutions, all sickness, To bring us into a closer walk with Him, and to help us walk in the center of His Perfect Will;
10. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His Purpose. This verse does not apply to haters of God. It does not apply to those walking in their own way. It does not apply to unbelievers ; the unsaved.
11. 29 For whom He did foreknow , He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Predestination is according to God's foreknowledge . All of God's children will be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, our older brother.
12. 1 John 3 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him ; for we shall see Him as He is. We are to be -- being sanctified through the Word of God day by day. That gradual sanctification will culminate in our being like Jesus when He comes for the church. We will be changed in that moment to be … "just as He is."
13. 30 Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified. God called us by His Spirit, when He saved us . He justified us with the Blood of Jesus. We will be glorified (conformed to Jesus) when we are caught up to be forever with the Lord. As far as God is concerned, it's already done .
14. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? God's gonna do what He's gonna do. He will finish what he has started. Nothing or nobody can change that.
15. 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. The devil is the accuser, and he accuses. His children accuse God's children. Even some Christians try to do the devil's job . But God has justified us, and all the accusing is meaningless .
16. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, Who is even at the right hand of God, Who also maketh intercession for us. The accusers would love to condemn us. But Jesus died for us. His Blood washed away our sins. Jesus has the ear of God, and speaks for us .
17. 35 Who shall separate us from the Love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nothing can separate us from His Love. Some people think that if Jesus really loved us , we would not suffer tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger, or death.
18. 37-39 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature , shall be able to separate us from the Love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. More than conquerors We not only win the battle, we keep the victory; we hold the territory.
19. God loves me now and forever . Nothing I do or anyone else does can change that . God knew everything I would ever do before He saved me; indeed , before I was born. He will never change His Mind. He will finish what He started in me.
