Shushan [in] the palace,
 The third year was 532 B.C.

 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and,
behold, there stood before the river a ram
which had [two] horns: and the [two] horns
[were] high; but one [was] higher than the other,
and the higher came up last.
 8:4 I saw the ram pushing westward , and
northward , and southward ; so that no beasts
might stand before him, neither [was there any]
that could deliver out of his hand; but he did
according to his will, and became great.

 Rome does not come out of one of the four horns

 Therefore the little horn refers to Pagan
Rome and then later to Papal Rome
 Pagan Rome is from 168 B.C. – 476 A.D.
 There is no Biblical break from when Pagan Rome
becomes Papal Rome

Little Horn Antichrist Power
 Daniel 8:11 “Yea, he magnified [himself] even
to the prince of the host, and by him the daily

 8:12 And an host was given [him] against the
daily [sacrifice] by reason of transgression, and
it cast down the truth to the ground; and it
practiced, and prospered.
 8:13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and
another saint said unto that certain [saint]
which spake, How long [shall be] the vision
[concerning] the daily [sacrifice], and the
transgression of desolation , to give both the
sanctuary and the host to be trodden under
foot ?

Little Horn Antichrist Power
 V.13 “Then I heard one saint speaking, and another
saint said unto that certain [saint] which spake, How
long [shall be] the vision [concerning] the daily
[sacrifice], and the transgression of desolation ,

trodden under foot?
 In three verses the daily is mentioned 3 X
 The daily is one of the most important topics
of the 2300 year vision.

32. Substituting Sanctuary Activities
 The daily has reference to the daily
intercessory work of Jesus in the heavenly
Sanctuary.
 The priesthood of the Papacy
replaces Jesus in the heavenly Sanctuary
 The Pope is the great high priest
 The priests do the forgiving of sins
 The Papal system replaces Jesus and
the heavenly Sanctuary altogether

34. The Daily
 The daily has reference to the mediation
of Jesus as our High Priest this side of the
cross.
 Verse 11 the daily was taken away by the
Catholic counterfeit priesthood
 Thus the daily is to be restored cleansed
at the end of the 2300 year prophecy

Sanctuary services

 The cleansing of the Sanctuary does not mean
the end of the world.

Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this [man] to understand
the vision.
 8:17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was
afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O

 This term is referred to four times in the book of
Daniel.

 Daniel 11:31 time, the THEY Church and State 508
A.D.
 Daniel 12:11 Abomination of Desolation
 The prophetic length of time for the Abomination to
be effective.
508 + 1290 = 1798 The complete system
receives a death blow.

 Verse 14 “And he said unto me, Unto two
thousand and three hundred days; then shall
the sanctuary be cleansed.
 Keep in mind that all these beast nations are
in the vision
 Keep also in mind that the vision starts in the
third year of the reign of Belshazar or in 552
B.C. and goes to the end of the 2300 year
prophecy. -- 2305 years

41. A VISIOIN WITHIN A VISION
 Verse 14 + 26
 “ Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the
sanctuary be cleansed.
 8:26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which
was told [is] true: wherefore; for it [shall be] for many days.
 The words evening and mornings in verse 26 is
the same Hebrew word as in verse 14.
 Thus Days has reference only to the 2300 year
prophecy.

42. A Vision Within A Vision
 Verse 14 2300 days
 Verse 26 the vision of the evening and the
morning
 This is direct reference to the 2300 year
section of the vision.
 This is not referring to political powers but to
four spiritual avenues of worship,
contaminated and trodden under foot by the
little horn – in the heavenly sanctuary.

43. Did Daniel Understand
What He Saw
 Verse. 27 “And I Daniel fainted , and was
sick [certain] days; afterward I rose up,
and did the king's business; and I was
astonished at the vision, but none
understood [it].”
 Verse 26 Shut thou up the vision….
It shall be for many days.

 This dream is not for Daniel’s benefit but rather it

 Verses 16 to 27 is a partial understanding
 The beginning of the time element for the
2300 year prophecy is not revealed in
chapter 8
 Note a partial time element in verse 17.

Judgment but is also revealing how the
little horn has trodden the heavenly
sanctuary under foot.

was 457 B.C. or 95 years after the vision
