The Fifth Seal Revelation 6:9 What was it? Martyrs standing under the altar in Heaven Who were they? Believers who were killed during the Tribulation Beheaded (20:4) Refuse to worship the beast (13:15) What were they doing? Asking God for vengeance and justice
The Sixth Seal Revelation 6:12 What was it? Great earthquake Sun becomes black Moon becomes blood Massive meteor shower Atmosphere and sky will disappear Continents will shift natural disasters
Revelation 6:17 “ For the great day of His wrath has come, and  WHO  is able to stand?”

Revelation 7:3 What does the angel from the east command the other four angels to do? Do not harm the earth, sea, or the trees until the servants of God have been sealed. Where were the servants sealed? On the forehead
Revelation 7:4-8 Who are the 144,000 sealed servants?  Jewish believers 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Israel Saved early in the Tribulation Missionaries to the world Will not be harmed Firstfruits of a new, redeemed Israel (Zech 12:10)
Who else in the Bible was “sealed” from God’s judgment and wrath? Noah and his family Rahab and her family Lot and his family First-born Jews during the Passover
Fast Forward to the Millennium… Revelation 7:9-17  2 nd  part of the chapter Introduced to a  second  group of believers
Revelation 7:9 Great multitude of all nations, tribes, people and tongues… What do the white robes represent? Righteous acts of the saints Salvation and victory What do the palm branches represent? Symbol of victory celebrations
Revelation 7:10 “… salvation  belongs to  our  God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” What is the theme of their worship?  Salvation Who do they attribute their salvation to? God and the Lamb
Revelation 7:11-12 Great worship scene around the throne Who is worshiping God and the Lamb? Angels 24 Elders Four living creatures Great multitude of people
Revelation 7:13-14 The elder’s question:  Who are these people and where did they come from? The elder’s answer: Those who were saved during the Tribulation Product of the ministry of the 144,000  Martyred
Revelation 7:15-17 Seven blessings described For those who stood for Christ during the Tribulation For  all  believers in Christ as we reign with Him for eternity
Revelation 7:15 Perfect Nearness “ Therefore they are before the throne of God…” Perfect Service “… and serve Him day and night in His temple.” Perfect Fellowship “ He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.”
Revelation 7:16 Perfect Satisfaction “ They shall neither hunger nor thirst anymore…” Perfect Security “… the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat…”
Revelation 7:17 Perfect Guidance “ For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to fountains of the waters of life…” Perfect Joy “ God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Look what we can look forward to! Perfect Nearness Perfect Service Perfect Fellowship Perfect Satisfaction Perfect Security Perfect Guidance Perfect Joy
Personal Reflection What’s preventing us from telling others about Christ? Why wait until the 144,000 Jewish believers do their job?
