This document provides a summary of Daniel chapters 7 and 8 from a sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi. It discusses Daniel's visions of four beasts representing four world empires, and an eleventh horn representing the Antichrist. It draws parallels between Daniel's visions and Nebuchadnezzar's dream. It also describes Daniel's vision of God on His throne, surrounded by millions of angels, and Jesus receiving a scroll from God.
This document provides an overview and analysis of Daniel chapters 7 and 8. It summarizes the key visions that Daniel receives about four beasts representing four world empires. It explains how these visions parallel Nebuchadnezzar's dream in Daniel 2 of a statue made of different metals. The document analyzes the meaning of the little horn that uproots three horns, representing the antichrist. It describes Daniel's vision of the Ancient of Days and heavenly throne of God. Finally, it discusses Daniel's vision of the Son of Man receiving an everlasting kingdom from God.
The document discusses Daniel's vision in chapter 7 of four beasts representing four kingdoms, with the fourth being the most diverse and having 10 horns and a little horn. It identifies the kingdoms as Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. It explains that the little horn represents the papacy which ruled from 538-1798 AD and will face judgment. It notes Daniel was troubled by the vision and sought understanding, which was provided about the kingdoms and the saints receiving the kingdom after judgment of the beasts including the little horn power.
This document provides a summary and interpretation of Daniel 8, which describes Daniel's vision of a ram and a goat.
The vision is said to symbolize the rise and fall of the Medo-Persian Empire and the Greek Empire under Alexander the Great. The ram with two horns represents the Medo-Persian Empire, while the one-horned goat represents the swift rise of Greece. When the large horn of the goat is broken, it represents Alexander's death and the division of his empire among four generals.
One of these generals, referred to as a "little horn", grows exceedingly powerful and is interpreted to symbolize the Roman Empire. It casts down truth and persecutes God's people for a period
The document provides an analysis and interpretation of Revelation 6:1-17, which describes the opening of the first four seals and the horsemen that ride out. It discusses three common approaches to understanding these riders: as Christ and agents of Satan, all as agents of Satan, and as aspects of God's power to judge nations. The analysis suggests the riders represent how God works through nations to bring judgment, with the first rider symbolizing Rome's future conquest through invasion.
The document discusses prophecies from the book of Daniel about four beasts representing kingdoms and a little horn power. It identifies the little horn as the papacy based on several lines of evidence from Daniel and Revelation: 1) It arose after the 10 divisions of the Roman Empire. 2) It uprooted three of the 10 kingdoms. 3) It differed from and was greater than the other kingdoms. The document argues that the papacy's claims to authority and ability to forgive sins constitute it speaking great things against God.
The document provides an analysis and summary of Revelation chapter 13, which describes two beasts. It argues that the Sea Beast of Revelation is the same as the beasts described by Daniel, and represents the kingdoms of Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome. Key points made include:
- The Sea Beast comes from the sea like Daniel's beasts and has 10 horns and 7 heads, linking it to Daniel's visions.
- It incorporates aspects of Daniel's lions, bears and leopards, and makes war against God's people for the same time period.
- The heads represent kings and the number is linked to those ruling Rome at the time of writing.

Many believe America is the greatest nation ever blessed by God, but few believe she ought to be mentioned in the Bible. The following argument should cause skeptics to believe otherwise, in that America has blessed Israel more than any nation in history. America is the mighty nation which won the two world wars that enabled the Jews to go back home, and then afterward stood as their only friend. Since every nation that affected ancient Israel had been mentioned in the Bible, and since God does not change in his ways, why would he not mention America in the end time prophecies of Daniel and Revelation? In truth, America ought to be shining in the Bible as brightly as a full moon rising on a cloudless night . . . and she does.
This document provides a summary and analysis of Revelation 12:1-17. It discusses the symbols in John's vision of the woman and the dragon. The woman represents God's people and gives birth to the messiah, Jesus. The dragon symbolizes Satan who tries to devour the child. Michael and the angels fight the dragon and Satan is cast down to earth where he makes war against the rest of the woman's offspring, Christians. The struggle between good and evil that started in heaven continues on earth as Satan wages war against God's people.

This document provides commentary on Revelation 17. It begins by summarizing the key details in the chapter about a woman sitting on many waters who is called a great whore. She has committed fornication with kings and inhabitants have been made drunk by her wine. John sees her sitting on a scarlet beast with 7 heads and 10 horns. The commentary then provides context that the woman represents a church and the beast represents world governments used by Satan. It delves into the symbolism of her clothing, golden cup, and name being Mystery Babylon. The commentary aims to tie these symbols to the historical Roman Catholic church and its rule during the 1260 prophetic years. It examines the meaning and fulfillment of the prophetic time periods mentioned
The document provides an overview and interpretation of Daniel 7, which describes Daniel's prophetic vision of four beasts arising from the sea representing four kingdoms. It identifies the first beast as Babylon, the second as Medo-Persia, the third as Greece, and the fourth as Rome. It then discusses the vision of a little horn power that arises and uproots three of the ten horns on the fourth beast, representing a power that would emerge within the Roman Empire.
The document provides commentary on Revelation 12:1-17 from a study on the book of Revelation. It describes two visions in chapters 12 and 13 that tell of the eternal struggle between Satan and God over rule of the world. The first vision depicts Christians suffering persecution from Satan's hatred of Jesus Christ. It shows Satan's defeat in heaven guarantees his ultimate defeat, though he continues waging war on Christians until the final victory of God. The second vision shows Satan's agents in war against Jesus' followers.
This document discusses several key terms and events from the biblical book of Daniel and Revelation regarding end-time prophecies. It explains that the "time of the end" refers to a period when knowledge and travel greatly increase. It identifies the "king of the south" as atheistic France during its revolution and the "king of the north" as the Papacy. It details historical events in 1798 and the late 20th century that mark the prophesied interactions between these powers. The document explores symbols like "chariots," "ships," and countries being "overflowed" in the context of these end-time events.
This document provides information about angels from A to Z. It discusses what various historical figures have said about alcohol. It then discusses angels in multiple paragraphs. Angels are spiritual creatures created by God to serve him and help people. They can travel between the spiritual and physical realms. They come in great numbers and have different ranks, with Michael being the archangel. Their purpose is to glorify God and help accomplish his will by serving people. God sends them from heaven to earth to minister.
Daniel has a vision of four great beasts representing four kingdoms that will rise and fall. The fourth beast is especially terrifying and will wage war against God's people. However, God will judge in favor of his saints and they will receive the eternal kingdom. The passage connects this vision with the man of lawlessness described in 2 Thessalonians and Revelation who will blaspheme God and persecute believers for 3.5 years, until Christ returns to defeat him and establish his everlasting kingdom. Enduring persecution is key to inheriting this kingdom.
A combination of several key prophecies from the bible in a short presentation form showing clearly how three days and three nights are gotten during the time of Christ's crucifixion.
The document discusses the remnant church and its mission. It defines the remnant as those who keep God's commandments and have faith in Jesus during a time of widespread apostasy. The remnant's mission is to proclaim the arrival of judgment, salvation through Christ, and Christ's second coming. This proclamation coincides with judgment in heaven and repentance on earth, as symbolized by the three angels' messages in Revelation 14. The remnant heralds the establishment of God's kingdom and new heaven/earth. All believers are called to participate in this global witness.
The document summarizes Daniel's vision in chapter 7 of the Bible. It describes four beasts representing kingdoms, with the fourth beast being Rome that later splits into the Roman Empire and Papacy. Daniel is shown a judgment scene where God sits on His throne and judges the beasts. The document then analyzes how aspects of the previous kingdoms like Babylon's mystery religion influenced the Papacy. It notes the Papacy's 1260 year rule from 538 to 1798 AD as foretold in Daniel's prophecy of a "time, times and half a time."
The scripture passage from Daniel 8:14 formed the central pillar of the Adventist faith, which predicted that the sanctuary would be cleansed after 2300 days. Verses 3-4 describe a ram with two horns pushing in all directions and becoming great. Verses 5-8 then describe a male goat that overthrew the ram and became very great until its main horn was broken off. Verses 9-12 depict a small horn that became exceedingly great and took away the daily sacrifice by exalting itself, casting down the sanctuary. Verse 13 asks how long the vision concerning the daily sacrifice and transgression of desolation would last, trampling the sanctuary and host underfoot for 2300 days.
The document describes Daniel's dream about four great beasts coming out of the sea, which are explained to represent four kingdoms that will arise. It then provides details about each beast and kingdom. It explains that the fourth beast will be diverse and devour the whole earth, and will be followed by ten kings with another king rising afterwards who will subdue three kings and speak against God. It finishes by saying the kingdom will be given to the saints of God and last forever.

The document provides context and analysis of Daniel 8, which contains the prophecy of the 2,300 days (years). It notes that Daniel saw visions of empires like the Medo-Persian ram and Greek goat. A little horn power arose and took away the daily sacrifice. Gabriel later explained to Daniel that this referred to 2,300 years until the sanctuary would be cleansed. While Daniel did not understand the full meaning, the vision was for the future. It encompasses the rise and fall of world powers over thousands of years until Jesus completes His work as high priest.
The document provides an overview of a Bible study lesson on the second coming of Christ. It discusses how Dwight L. Moody was fascinated by this topic and found over 2,500 references to it in the Bible. The lesson then examines prophecies from the books of Daniel and Revelation about the rise and fall of earth's kingdoms and God's kingdom that will be established at Christ's second coming. It specifically analyzes Daniel's prophecy of the statue with a head of gold, chest and arms of silver, belly and thighs of bronze, legs of iron, and feet of iron mixed with clay to represent successive world empires from Babylon to Rome and its division.

12 revelation 12 and the cross- Jon Paulien.Pedro Avellar
The document discusses the Seventh-day Adventist interpretation of Revelation 12, which outlines three stages of Christian history: 1) The Christ event, 2) A central period of persecution during the Middle Ages, and 3) The time of the end. For stage one, Revelation 12:1-5 represents Jesus' birth and ascension, while verses 7-12 depict the war in heaven resulting in Satan's defeat at the cross. This cast Satan down from his position of accusing believers before God but an earlier war began before creation when Satan rebelled.
What is the Spirit of prophecy? Is it a person? Is it applicable in our present time?
The many challenges that have been manifested in recent times over the Spirit of Prophecy has caused many to question and some to study to find out what is truth. Truth clearly revealed in the bible is what we seek and as such we look carefully at whether or not the writings of Sister White pass the test using a simple comparison.

The document discusses the key points from Daniel chapter 7 about the investigative judgment:
1) Daniel 7 contains a vision of four beasts representing four kingdoms and a little horn power that persecutes God's people.
2) The vision shows the investigative judgment beginning in heaven with God seated on His throne and books being opened containing the records of all people.
3) The judgment results in Jesus receiving His kingdom, the saints joining Him in the kingdom, and the defeat of sin and sinners so God's justice and government are vindicated.
The Middle Ages saw the decline of the Western Roman Empire and rise of new powers in Europe. The Early Middle Ages, also called the Dark Ages, saw barbarian tribes migrate into Europe and establish new kingdoms. The Byzantine Empire continued in the East with Constantinople as its capital. The Catholic Church grew in influence and established monastic communities. Charlemagne united much of Western Europe under the Holy Roman Empire in the 8th century. New social classes like serfs and feudal systems of government developed during this period.
This document discusses the Adventist understanding of the biblical earthly and heavenly sanctuaries and how it relates to and differs from evangelical theology. Some key concepts about the sanctuaries and their functions that are compatible with evangelical views are described. The point of departure into unique Adventist interpretation regarding an eschatological pre-Advent judgment phase is then specified.

1. Nebuchadnezzar has a troubling dream that disturbs his sleep, but cannot remember the dream. He demands that his wise men tell him both the dream and its interpretation.
2. When the wise men are unable to do so, Nebuchadnezzar sentences them all to death. Daniel asks God for the dream's revelation and interpretation to save the wise men.
3. God reveals the dream to Daniel - an image made of different metals that is destroyed by a stone. Daniel interprets it as different kingdoms that will be destroyed by God's eternal kingdom. Nebuchadnezzar promotes Daniel for revealing the dream.
The document provides a summary of chapters 2-3 of the book of Daniel. It discusses how Daniel and his friends refused to worship the golden idol that King Nebuchadnezzar created and were thrown into a fiery furnace as punishment. However, they were unharmed as a fourth figure protected them in the flames. The king acknowledged the power of Daniel's God. The document emphasizes having faith even when facing difficult trials and that God may deliver believers from, through, or into his arms during times of suffering.
The document provides background information on the Book of Daniel. It discusses that Daniel was a prince in Babylon who served as a prophet. The Book of Daniel contains detailed prophecies about future kingdoms from the time of Daniel until the end. It also demonstrates God's sovereign control over world history. Additionally, the document notes that the Book of Daniel has been shown to be historically accurate, including its mention of Belshazzar as king of Babylon, which was later confirmed by the 1956 translation of the Nabonidus Chronicle.
The document summarizes Daniel's vision in chapter 8 of a ram with two horns and a male goat with a notable horn between its eyes. The ram represents the Medo-Persian empire while the goat is Greece under Alexander the Great. Alexander's empire was divided among four generals after his death, represented by the four horns that emerged. One of the horns became a powerful "little horn" that persecuted God's people, which is identified as the pagan Roman empire. It then describes how the papal Roman empire gained power through its union of church and state, casting down paganism and oppressing God's truth for 1260 years.
Daniel was a teenager among the Jewish exiles in Babylon. He became the most senior administrator of the empire under three unpredictable kings. Four commitments were the foundation of his life: commitment to God, Commitment to reading the Scriptures, Commitment to prayer and commitment to professional excellence. Through visions and angelic messengers God gave Daniel six detailed visions of the future covering the period 200BC until the return of Christ.
The document provides an introduction and overview of the Book of Daniel. It discusses Daniel's special role as a prophet who set timelines for future events. It also notes the book's authenticity and covers various chapters that describe Daniel's life and visions, including visions of four kingdoms, the 70 weeks prophecy, and end times events leading up to the Antichrist. The document examines the book's prophetic nature and Daniel's role in receiving revelations about the distant future.

The document provides an overview and analysis of key prophecies from the Book of Daniel and how they relate to Revelation 17 and the Roman Catholic Church. It asserts that the woman sitting on the scarlet beast in Revelation 17 represents the Roman Catholic Church. The beast it describes is thought to represent the Roman Catholic Papacy during its 1260 year reign beginning in 538 AD when it gained political power, until 1798 AD when the pope was arrested by Napoleon's general. The document analyzes symbols and timelines to build the case that the Roman Catholic Church and its Papacy are the entities described in the biblical prophecies.
The document discusses a sermon series on the book of Daniel chapter 7. It describes Daniel's vision of four beasts rising from the earth representing four kings. It finds hope for a persecuted people in the prophecy that the fourth beast's power will be destroyed forever. It then makes connections between this vision, Jesus' life events of holy war, spiritual battle, crucifixion, ascension and future return when he will gather the elect.
Daniel had a vision in 555 BC, the first year of King Belshazzar's rule, where he saw four beasts arise from the sea representing four kingdoms. The beasts were a lion, bear, leopard, and a 10-horned beast. An 11th horn on the fourth beast represented the Antichrist. This document provides context about the timeline of kings in Babylon and an outline to study Daniel's prophetic vision in chapter 7.

The document discusses visions that Daniel received about four beasts rising from the sea and a little horn power. It summarizes that the fourth beast was Rome which had ten horns and a little horn emerged that uprooted three horns and had human-like eyes and a boastful mouth. It was given power for a time, times, and half a time (1260 years). The visions also involved a ram and male goat, which represented the kingdoms of Medo-Persia and Greece. The male goat overpowered the ram and a little horn emerged that grew exceedingly powerful but not through its own power and it persecuted God's people for 1260 years.
The document provides an overview and commentary on the biblical book of Ezra. Key points include:
- Ezra tells the story of the return of Jewish exiles from Babylon to Jerusalem following the decree of Cyrus of Persia in 538 BC and the rebuilding of the Temple.
- It is divided into two parts, the first covering the return under Zerubbabel and rebuilding of the Temple, and the second covering the subsequent mission of Ezra to purify the Jewish community.
- Together with Nehemiah, Ezra represents the final chapter in the Hebrew Bible's historical narrative, following a pattern of God stirring Persian kings to commission Jewish leaders for missions of rebuilding.
The document discusses end times prophecies from the books of Daniel and Revelation and their fulfillment. It summarizes that Daniel chapter 2 outlines successive world powers from Babylon to the eternal kingdom of God. It warns that the papacy will try to enforce Sunday observance in the last days by allying with world powers, going against religious freedom.
The document discusses the end of the "Gentile age" or dispensation through references to biblical passages. It notes that Daniel's vision of the statue with feet of iron and clay represents the mixed and weak nature of the last world power at the end of the Gentile age. The stone cut without hands that destroys this statue represents Christ, who will bring an end to the Gentile age and crush all human kingdoms at his second coming. It also discusses how Revelation's vision of the beast with attributes of past kingdoms represents this final period, and how the stone will overcome the beast and bring the Gentile age to a close.
The document provides an analysis and summary of Revelation 13:1-14:5. It discusses the sea beast and earth beast mentioned in Revelation. It argues that the sea beast is the same as the beast from the abyss in Revelation 11 and 17. Several points of identification are made between the sea beast and the beasts described by Daniel. The heads of the sea beast represent seven rulers, and five have already fallen by the time of writing with one currently ruling and another yet to come, becoming the eighth.
The document is a sermon outline from First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi discussing Revelation 12:1-17. It begins by summarizing that Satan will be cast out of heaven, possibly triggered by the rapture of the church. It then examines the key figures in Revelation 12 - the woman (representing Israel), the male child (Jesus Christ), and the great red dragon (Satan). The sermon teaches that during the coming tribulation, both God's judgments and Satan's fury will make it the most devastating time in human history.
God instructs Noah to build an ark to save his family and two of every kind of animal from an impending global flood that God plans to bring because of the wickedness of mankind. Noah is described as a righteous man who walked with God. He builds the ark exactly to God's specifications over many years as he warns others of the coming judgment. When the flood comes, Noah, his family, and the animals enter the ark and God shuts them in as the rain falls for 40 days and nights, flooding the entire earth.
This document provides a summary of the sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi on August 23, 2015. The sermon focuses on Revelation 12:1-17 and discusses the symbolism in the passage of the woman and the dragon. It provides background information on the passage and references commentaries from John MacArthur. The sermon suggests the war in heaven mentioned could be triggered by the rapture of the church, with Michael defending God's people from Satan's attempts to interfere. In less than 3 sentences, the document summarizes the key points of the sermon on Revelation 12:1-17 given at First Baptist Church.
Daniel has a vision of four great beasts arising from the sea, each symbolizing a kingdom. The first was like a lion with eagle's wings, the second a bear, the third a leopard, and the fourth a terrifying beast with iron teeth. Daniel is shown that the Ancient of Days will judge these beasts and their kingdoms. One like a son of man approaches God and is given authority, glory, and a kingdom that will never be destroyed.
Ezekiel has a vision while in captivity in Babylon near the River Chebar. He sees a great whirlwind coming from the north with fire and brightness. Within the fire are four living creatures with human faces and wings. Each creature has the face of a man, lion, ox, and eagle, representing God's sovereignty, intelligence, sacrifice, and power. Ezekiel is called by God to a new ministry through this dramatic vision.
The document discusses key events in church history that relate to time prophecies in Daniel 12. It notes that in 508 AD, Clovis converted to Catholicism, uniting church and state in his kingdom. In 538 AD, laws were passed that made the papacy the head of all churches. This established the 1260 year period of papal supremacy predicted in Daniel. The document also discusses the 1290 and 1335 year prophecies, noting their fulfillment in 1798 and 1843 respectively.
Genesis 6:8-18 and 7:11-14 describe God instructing Noah to build an ark to save his family from a coming flood that would destroy the earth due to violence. Noah was described as a righteous man who found favor with God. God told Noah to build the ark out of gopherwood and pitch it inside and out. He provided exact dimensions and instructions to include lower, second, and third decks and a window. God said he would establish his covenant with Noah and his family and have them enter the ark along with pairs of animals to be saved from the flood. On a specified day, the floodwaters came pouring down from the heavens and bursting forth from within the earth for 40 days and nights
The Three Phases of the Anti-Christ PowerRobert Taylor
This document outlines keys to unlocking prophecies in the Bible. It discusses various symbols found in prophecies and their meanings, such as beasts representing ruling powers. It analyzes prophecies about a beast with seven heads and ten horns in Revelation 12-13 and 17. This beast represents the papacy, which ruled as a head/empire for 1260 years before being wounded but healing. Biblical knowledge of the antichrist power and its mark are said to be the last message before Jesus' return. Intellectual biblical knowledge is presented as the greatest reformer of Christianity.
1) The document is a summary of a sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi on March 26, 2017. The sermon discusses how prophecies from Jacob's blessing, Isaiah, and Zechariah foretold Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on a donkey, fulfilling messianic prophecies.
2) It notes how Jesus was greeted as a king but was a threat to the corrupt religious system. His kingdom was one of peace, not war.
3) The sermon discusses how Greeks sought to see Jesus at the feast, and he responded that his death would glorify God and allow many to be saved, linking it to prophecies of his death and resurrection.
The document discusses Daniel's dream in Daniel 7 of four beasts coming out of the sea. It provides interpretations of the dream:
1) The first beast, a lion with eagle's wings, represents the Babylonian Empire. The wings being plucked represent Babylon losing power when conquered by the Medo-Persian Empire.
2) The second beast, a bear, represents the Median Empire which existed until 550 BCE.
3) The third beast, a four-headed leopard with wings, represents the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great from 539-330 BCE.
4) The fourth beast, a diverse beast with iron teeth and ten horns, represents the Roman Empire which persecuted Jews
1) The people after the flood all spoke one language and settled in the land of Shinar where they decided to build a city and tower reaching to the heavens to make a name for themselves, in defiance of God's command to scatter.
2) God came down and confused their language, scattering them over the earth and ending their rebellion against his command.
3) The tower of Babel shows how human pride and the desire for self-glorification rather than obeying God leads to division and scattering rather than unity.
This document is a summary of the sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi on October 11, 2015. The sermon discusses the biblical account in Genesis 11:1-9 of the Tower of Babel, where all the people of the earth spoke one language but decided to build a tower to make a name for themselves instead of scattering as God commanded. God responded by confusing their language so they could not understand each other, scattering them over the earth. The sermon examines the motives and rebellion of the people against God's plan through their actions at Babel. It also draws connections between the tower and the rise and fall of nations throughout history.
1. John has a vision of God on his throne and the Lamb opening seven seals on a scroll, representing the unfolding of future events.

This passage from Isaiah 58 discusses God's condemnation of empty worship rituals among his people that are not accompanied by righteous living and care for the oppressed. God explains that true worship requires loosening bonds of wickedness, sharing with the hungry, and clothing the naked. The prophet Isaiah lived during a time of rebuilding after the exile when the temple had been reconstructed but the city walls remained in ruins. God promises blessings of light, guidance, strength, and renewal for those who repent from sin and pursue justice. The sermon references other passages emphasizing that God desires mercy over sacrifice and that true salvation will come through God himself acting as righteous judge and redeemer through the coming Messiah.
This document provides a summary and analysis of Isaiah 58:1-12. It examines God's condemnation of hypocritical worship among his people, who were going through the motions of fasting and prayer but without true repentance or care for the oppressed. 2) It analyzes various verses from Isaiah 53 that describe Jesus' humble upbringing, rejection, suffering, and death on the cross in fulfillment of these prophecies.
3) The author argues that the chapter paints a clear picture of Jesus and his redemptive work, though some Jewish people did not accept that it referred to him.
This document provides an analysis and commentary on Isaiah 53:1-12. It discusses how this passage prophesies Jesus as the suffering servant who would bear the sins of humanity. Some key points made include: Jewish people historically did not believe Isaiah 53 referred to Jesus as they were expecting a conquering messiah; the passage depicts the servant as having no beauty or majesty and being despised and rejected; it describes how he would bear our sorrows and be wounded for our transgressions so that through his suffering we can be healed. The document analyzes various verses in depth to draw connections between the prophecy and Jesus' life and crucifixion.

The class discussed how tragedies can humble us and that God saves those who recognize their need.
God instructs Isaiah to comfort God's people with three messages: 1) God is sovereign and in control, even during difficult times. 2) God will fulfill his purposes, such as forgiving Israel and sending a Redeemer. 3) God will sustain his people, though all humanity is transitory except God's eternal word. The prophecy looks forward to Israel's restoration after the coming exile.

Isaiah 31 discusses God's promise to protect Israel and Judah if they trust in Him rather than forming alliances with other nations like Egypt. It warns that those who seek protection from Egypt will be put to shame, as the Egyptians are merely mortal while God is all-powerful. The chapter promises that God will come down to defend Jerusalem from Assyria, represented as a lion, and will shield and deliver His people. It calls the Israelites to repent and return to God to receive His protection.
The document provides an overview and analysis of Isaiah 31. It summarizes that the chapter warns Israel and Judah against forming an alliance with Egypt and relying on Egyptian horses and chariots for protection against Assyria. While Egypt can provide military strength, God promises to protect Jerusalem himself. The chapter exhorts the people to repent from idolatry and return to trusting God for their defense. It prophesies that Assyria will fall not by human hands but by the sword of God in response to their threats against Judah.
God will judge the earth and its inhabitants for their sins and breaking God's covenant. This judgement is described in Isaiah 24-27 and referred to as Isaiah's Apocalypse. However, God also has a plan for salvation and will deliver the remnant of people from the ends of the earth who worship him. Ultimately, God will reign eternally in Jerusalem and provide salvation for all people through his son Jesus Christ.
God will judge the earth and its inhabitants for their sin and breaking of His covenant. Isaiah 24-27 discusses this coming judgement, including how God will devastate the earth and punish both earthly kings and the hosts of heaven. However, it also promises ultimate salvation and a banquet for all people on God's holy mountain when He defeats death. The passage encourages believers that though judgement is coming, God has a plan for hope and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

9. Daniel chapter 7 takes us out to the end of Daniel's life during the reigns of Darius and Cyrus, the Medo-Persian kingsand we're going to start dealing with visionsthat Daniel received.
10. Daniel 7:1-7 NKJV
Vision of the Four Beasts
1 In the first year of
Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visionsof his head whileon his bed.
Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts.
11. 2Daniel spoke, saying,
“I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea.
12. 3And four great beastscame up from the sea, each different from the other.
13. 4The first waslike a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feetlike a man, and a man’s heartwas given to it.
14. 5“And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear.
It was raised up on one side, and hadthree ribs in its mouth between its teeth.
And they said thus to it:
‘Arise, devour much flesh!’
15. 6“After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.
16. 7“After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It wasdifferentfrom all the beasts that werebefore it, and it had ten horns.Daniel 7:1-7NKJV
20. Nebuchadnezzar had a vision of the governments that would govern over the world.
*In Nebuchadnezzar's dream, he saw those empires as an image of a man, with a head of gold, the chest of silver, stomach of brass, legs of iron, and the feet of iron and clay with the ten toes.
22. In Nebuchadnezzar's vision,
the stonehit the image in his feet and the image crumbled; it was cast down.
"So I beheld until these thrones, the ten kings, were cast down."
23. He watched it until this rockcame, not cut with hands, that hit the image in its feet and the whole image crumbled, and the rock grew into a mountainthat covered the earth.
25. Now in chapter seven we have a parallel vision seen by Daniel.
The big difference is that
Daniel does not see the world- governing empires as a man, but he sees them as beasts.
31. When Alexander the Great died, his kingdom did not pass on because he did not have any children.
*The Grecian Empire was divided into four separate headsand four of his generals began to rule: one in Syria, one in Egypt, one in Asia Minor, and the other in Greece.
35. So you have the ten horns coming out of the fourth beast, the Roman Empire, even as you have the ten toes, part iron, part clay showing the relationship to the Roman Empire.
38. There is someinteresting enlightenmenthere in chapter seven that did not come in Nebuchadnezzar's dream of chapter two.
39. Daniel 7:8 NKJV
8I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked outby the roots.
42. So there is an eleventh horn that arises, which actually takes over three of the horns -plucks them up by their roots.
And in this horn there were eyeslike the eyes of a man and a mouthspeaking great things.
44. Daniel 7:9 NKJV
Vision of the Ancient of Days
9“I watched till thrones were put in place, And the Ancient of Dayswas seated; His garment waswhite as snow,
45. And the hair of His head waslike pure wool. His throne wasa fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire;
Daniel 7:9 NKJV
47. Daniel 7:10 NKJV
10A fiery stream issuedAnd came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The courtwas seated, And the books were opened.
49. And so he beheld these horns until they were cast down and he saw actually the throne of God, the Ancient of days, and all of the splendor and glorysurrounding the throne of God.
50. A thousand thousand, or a million, ministering unto Him and ten thousand times ten thousand, or a hundred million, standing before Him.
51. In Revelation chapter 4 -we see God sitting upon the throne. *We see the green emerald rainbowabout the throne of God.
*We see the crystal seain front of it.
53. We see the twenty-four elders with their golden crowns there also before the throne of God and the cherubimsurrounding Him and declaring,
"Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty."
55. We see the brightness of God as He sits there upon the throne.
*And then our attention is diverted to the scrollthat is in the right hand of God because an angel is proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthyto take this scroll and to loose the seals?"
56. *We see Jesusas a Lamb that has been slaughtered as He comes forth and He takes the scrollout of the right hand of Him Who sits upon the throne.
60. and we began to sing, "Worthy is the Lamb to take the scroll and to loose the seals thereof, for He was slain and He has redeemedus by His blood out of all the nations, tribes, tongues, and peoples and He has made us unto our God,
62. This scene in Heaven will be followed immediatelyby the open book and the open scroll which brings about the judgment-not the Great White Throne judgment-but the judgment of Godupon the Christ-rejecting world which is
64. So Danieland Johnhad corresponding visions of this throne of Godand the glory of the throne of God and the impending judgment upon the kingdom of man.
65. Daniel 7:11-12 NKJV
11“I watched then because of the sound of the pompous words which the horn was speaking; I watched till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given to the burning flame.
66. 12As for the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away, yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.
Daniel 7:11-12 NKJV
67. We are told concerning this beast, the man of sin, the son of perdition, commonly called the antichrist, that he speaks great blasphemous things against the God of Heaven.
68. And that he finally declares that he himself is Godand demands to be worshipped as God.
He puts to deaththose that refuse to worship him.
69. We are told in the book of Revelation that when Jesus comes again that He will destroythis instrument of Satan, this man of sin, and he will be cast into Gehenna, the lake that burnethwith fire.
72. Daniel 7:13-14 NKJV
13 “I was watching in the night visions, And behold, Onelike the Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven!
73. He came to the Ancient of
Days,
And they brought Him near before Him. 14Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.
74. His dominion isan everlasting
dominion, Which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the oneWhich shall not be destroyed.
Daniel 7:13-14 NKJV
75. Daniel now sees Jesus Christ and the receiving of the glorious kingdombeing given to Jesus and coming to reign.
A kingdom that shall never end.
76. Isaiah 9:6-7 NKJV
6For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be calledWonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
77. 7Of the increase of Hisgovernment and peaceThere will beno end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
78. From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORDof hosts will perform this.
Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV
79. Luke 1:30-33 NKJV
30Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.
80. 32He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throneof His father David. 33And He will reignover the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”Luke 1:30-33 NKJV
82. Coming to the Ancient of days and receiving the authority, the dominion, the glory, the kingdom, to rule all of the world.
83. Psalm 2:8 NKJV
8Ask of Me, and I will give YouThe nations forYour inheritance, And the ends of the earth forYour possession.
(the glorious kingdom of God.)
84. Daniel 7:15-18 NKJV
Daniel’s Visions Interpreted
15“I, Daniel, was grieved in my spirit within mybody, and the visions of my head troubled me.
85. 16I came near to one of those who stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me and made known to me the interpretation of these things:
86. 17‘Those great beasts, which are four, arefour kingswhicharise out of the earth. 18But the saintsof the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.’
Daniel 7:15-18 NKJV
87. These are the kingdoms that are going to rule over the earth, but ultimately the saints will take the kingdom.
88. Daniel 7:19-21 NKJV
19“Then I wished to know the truth about the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, withits teeth of iron and its nails of bronze, whichdevoured, broke in pieces, and trampled the residue with its feet;
89. 20and the ten hornsthat wereon its head, and the other hornwhich came up, before which three fell, namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke pompous words, whose appearance wasgreater than his fellows.
90. 21“I was watching; and the same horn was making war against the saints, and prevailing against them,
Daniel 7:19-21 NKJV
91. Now we are told this also in Revelation 13as he speaks of the rise of the beast out of the sea, the antichrist, that he makes war with the saints and overcomes them.
92. Because the antichrist prevails against the saints, I conclude that the saints here are not the church.
93. We have the promise of Jesus Christmade in Caesarea Philippi to His disciples, when Peter said, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God," Jesus said, "Upon this rockI will build My church and the gates of hell shall not prevailagainst it"(Matthew 16:18).
94. There's no waythe antichrist, or the gates of hell, or Satan can prevail against the church of Jesus Christ.
96. So by virtue of the fact that the antichrist is prevailing against the saints, they could not be the church, but will be redeemed Israel in the Tribulation period.
And he will make war against Israel.
97. He comes to Jerusalem and he makes waragainst the remnant of the woman's seed or of Israel.
But they are not the churchbecause Daniel did not see the churchin his prophecies.
98. Daniel 7:22-25 NKJV
22until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favorof the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom.
99. 23“Thus he said: ‘The fourth beast shall bea fourth kingdomon earth, which shall be differentfrom all otherkingdoms, and shall devourthe wholeearth, Trample it and break it in pieces.
100. 24The ten horns areten kingsWhoshall arise from this kingdom. And anothershall rise after them;
He shall be differentfrom the first ones, And shall subduethree kings.
101. 25He shall speak pompouswords against the Most High, Shall persecutethe saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law.
102. Then the saintsshall be given into his hand
For a time and times and half a time.
Daniel 7:22-25 NKJV
103. For a three and half year period he will rule, coming to Jerusalem, and beginning to make war against Israel.
During the first three and half years of his reign he'll make a treatywith Israel.
104. We'll get this next week in Daniel, chapter 9.
But then he will break this treatywhich will start the beginning of the endand the countdown, the last days until the return of Jesus Christ.
105. The antichrist is given powerto rule over these saints, the redeemed Israel, for three and half years.
106. Daniel 7:26-28 NKJV
26‘But the court shall be seated, And they shall take away his dominion, To consume and destroy itforever.
107. 27Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saintsof the Most High. His kingdom isan everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.’
108. 28“This isthe end of the account. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts greatly troubled me, and my countenance changed; but I kept the matter in my heart.”
Daniel 7:26-28 NKJV
110. Daniel 8:1-3 NKJV
1 In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar a vision appeared tome—to
me, Daniel—after the one that appeared to me the first time.
111. 2I saw in the vision, and it so happened while I was looking, that I wasin Shushan, the citadel, which isin the province of Elam; and I saw in the vision that I was by the River Ulai.
112. 3Then I lifted my eyes and saw, and there, standing beside the river, was a ramwhich had two horns, and the two horns werehigh; but one washigher than the other, and the higher onecame up last.
Daniel 8:1-3 NKJV
113. The Medo-Persian Empireis represented by the two horns.
The Persian Empire being the highercoming up last and was more powerfulthan the Median Empire.
114. Daniel 8:4-5 NKJV
4I saw the rampushing westward, northward, and southward, so that no animal could withstand him; nor was there anythat could deliver from his hand, but he did according to his will and became great.
115. 5And as I was considering, suddenly a male goatcame from the west, across the surface of the whole earth, without touching the ground; and the goat hada notable hornbetween his eyes.
Daniel 8:4-5 NKJV
117. Daniel was watching this ram, the Medo-Persian Empire, as it was conquering, but suddenly there comes this goatout of the west, Greece, with a notable horn, Alexander the Great.
118. And conquering so rapidly that the feet weren't touching the ground.
*You read of the conquests of Alexander the Great, and it's amazing how rapidlyhe was able to conquer the known world at that time.
119. Daniel 8:6-8 NKJV
6Then he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing beside the river, and ran at him with furious power. 7And I saw him confronting the ram;he was moved with rage
120. against him, attacked the ram, and broke his two horns. There was no power in the ram to withstand him, but he cast him down to the ground and trampled him; and there was no one that could deliver the ram from his hand.
121. 8Therefore the male goat grew very great; but when he became strong, the large horn was broken, and in place of it four notable onescame up toward the four winds of heaven.
Daniel 8:6-8 NKJV
122. A graphic prophecy, fabulous, interesting prophecy.
How could Daniel knowthis except by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, that the great horn, Alexander would be broken in his youth?
123. Thirty-twoyears old when he died.
And the Grecian Empire passed on to the four generals, Syria, Antiochus Epiphanes, and then of course out of Egypt, Asia Minor, and Greece.
124. Daniel 8:9 NKJV
9And out of one of them came a little hornwhich grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land.
125. Antiochus Epiphanes(a type of antichrist) who moved against Egypt down toward the south and, of course, in passing from Syria into Egypt, he had to go through the land of Israel.
126. Daniel 8:10 NKJV
10And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down someof the host and someof the stars to the ground, and trampled them.
127. Now we go from Antiochus Epiphanesto what he has a type of the antichrist and we go on now right to the antichrist.
128. Daniel 8:11-14 NKJV
11He even exalted himselfas high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrificeswere taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down.
129. 12Because of transgression, an army was given over to the hornto oppose the daily sacrifices; and he cast truth down to the ground.
He did all thisand prospered.
130. 13Then I heard a holy one speaking; and anotherholy one said to that certain onewho was speaking, “How longwillthe vision be, concerningthe daily sacrificesand the transgression of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled underfoot?”
131. 14And he said to me, “For two thousand three hundred days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.”
Daniel 8:11-14 NKJV
132. Now this, of course, is a prophecy concerning Antiochus Epiphanes.
*It does have a dual aspectin the fulfillment.
*Daniel is talking about this profaning of the templeby Antiochus Epiphanes.
133. When he came to Jerusalem to show his utter disregardfor God and for their beliefs, he sacrificed a pigupon the holy altar there in Jerusalem.
And he sought to turn the temple into a pagan temple.
134. This created such a feeling of incensein the Jewish zealots, that Judas Maccabaeus gathered together a group of men and against insurmountable odds came to Jerusalem and defeated the Syrian armythat was there.
135. This is where the Feast of Dedication comes from, Hanukkah, and they wanted to re-establishthe true worship.
*Interestingly enough, it was 2,300 daysafter Antiochus Epiphanes had profaned the temple, exactly as Daniel said.
136. Twenty-three hundred days later, Judas Maccabaeus and these faithful zealots had come and they were wanting to re- institute the proper sacrifices and the temple worship again.
137. But it was found that they had, of course, only enough holy anointing oilto last for one day, there in the candle set.
It took a period of about seven or eight daysto prepare this oil.
138. By divine miraclethe one-day supply lasteduntil they were able to get the new supply of oil compounded and made for the lights in the temple, and hence the Feast of Dedication, or Hanukkah, and even to the present day the lighting of the
139. nine candles to symbolize the miraculous preservation of the oil in the lamps during the period that they were preparing new oil for them.
Jesus was in Jerusalem for Hanukkah, in John, chapter 10.
140. Notice that it was in the middle of the winter.
The Feast of Dedicationit was called.
So the sanctuary was troddendownfor the 2,300 days.
142. Daniel 8:15-17 NKJV
Gabriel Interprets the Vision
15Then it happened, when I, Daniel, had seen the vision and was seeking the meaning, that suddenly there stood before me one having the appearance of a man.
143. 16And I heard a man’s voice between the banks ofthe Ulai, who called, and said, “Gabriel, make this manunderstand the vision.”
144. 17So he came near where I stood, and when he came I was afraid and fell on my face; but he said to me, “Understand, son of man, that the vision refersto the time of the end.”
Daniel 8:15-17 NKJV
145. Gabriel is an interesting angel.
He's going to be a fun one to meet too.
We'll talk more about him next week as we meet him again in chapter 9.
146. He's the one that came to Mary and told her that she was to have a Child.
He came to Zachariasthe priest and let him know that his wife Elizabeth would have the child, John the Baptist.
147. He said, "How can I know this?" He said, "I'm Gabriel, I stand in the presence of God.
*Think I'd lie to you man?"
*He is a very interesting angel and here he's commanded, "Explain to the fellow what it's all about."
148. Now this vision is going to take you out to the time of the end.
149. Daniel 8:18-20 NKJV
18Now, as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep with my face to the ground; but he touched me, and stood me upright. 19And he said, “Look, I am making known to you what shall happen in the latter time
150. of the indignation; for at the appointed time the end shall be.
20The ram which you saw, having the two horns—they arethe kings of Media and Persia.
Daniel 8:18-20 NKJV
151. We don't need to question what is the ram, for he tells us.
152. Daniel 8:21 NKJV
21And the male goat isthe kingdom of Greece. The large horn that isbetween its eyes isthe first king.
153. And, of course, this is when Greece was nothing.
That is the first king during the time of its conquering.
*Philip, Alexander's father, did not conquer or begin any kind of a world conquest.
154. Daniel 8:22 NKJV
22As for the broken hornand the four that stood up in its place, four kingdomsshall arise out of that nation, but not with its power.
155. Alexander the Great died at age thirty-two and four kingdoms did arise out of his empire just like Daniel 8:22predicted!
156. Daniel 8:23-24 NKJV
23“And in the latter timeof their kingdom, When the transgressors have reached their fullness, A king shall arise, Having fierce features,
Who understands sinister schemes.
157. 24His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and alsothe holy people.
Daniel 8:23-24 NKJV
158. And this, of course, is referring now to the antichrist.
but not by his own power;
(Daniel 8:24)
*We read in Revelation 13 that this beast that rises out of the sea that Satan gives unto himhis authority and his power.
159. So this man of sinis going to arise; he's going to be tremendously powerful, but not his own power.
*It will be Satan's powerthat will be vested in him.
*All of the power of Satanwill be given unto man, this man.
160. "His power will be mighty, but not by his own power.“
He's going to make war against Israel, ultimately.
161. Daniel 8:25 NKJV
25“Through his cunningHe shall cause deceitto prosper under his rule; And he shall exalt himselfin his heart. He shall destroy many in theirprosperity.
162. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; But he shall be brokenwithout humanmeans.
Daniel 8:25 NKJV
163. He is going to come on with a program of peace.
And be hailed, really, as the savior of the world.
He shall also stand up against the Prince of princes, but he will be broken without a hand (Daniel 8:25).
164. By the brightness of the coming of Jesus Christwith the Word that goes forth out of the mouth of Christ, the antichrist will be broken and destroyed without a hand touching him.
165. Daniel 8:26 NKJV
26“And the vision of the evenings and morningsWhich was told is true; Therefore seal up the vision, For it refersto many days in the future.”
166. God told Daniel to just close it because it isn't time yet.
167. Daniel 8:27 NKJV
27And I, Daniel, fainted and was sick for days; afterward I arose and went about the king’s business. I was astonished by the vision, but no one understood it.
168. It was all before the fact.
*No one understood it, he just wrote it.
*And, of course, that's an interesting thing.
*Daniel said, “Man, I don't understand it. This is weird but this is what it was.”
169. Now we look at it, we say, "Wow, that's so clear!
That's interesting how he could write with such clarity things that had not yet happened.
170. But that's because we're looking at it from our standpointand we can see where it was fulfilled.
Whereas Daniel probably thought, "Who, Grecia? Man, that little area of Grecia?
172. How can they ever destroy the Persian Empire?"
And yet, in time it all was fulfilled.
173. As we get into the ninth chapter of the book of Daniel, it possess the keyto the understanding of all of prophecy.
174. If you understandthe ninth chapter of the book of Daniel, the whole subject of prophecy will become very clear to you.
*If you're garbled on the ninth chapter of the book of prophecy, your whole prophetic picture will be garbled.
175. The ninth chapter is the keyto the understanding of the subject of prophecy.
And so we'll be spending a lot of time next Sunday in the ninth chapter because we don’t want to miss the key.
176. If you can get chapter nine, then prophecy shouldn't be a problemfor you ever.
Everything will fit together perfectly if you get this ninth chapter.
177. Next week we'll finish the book of Daniel, Lord willing.
But pay special attention to the ninth chapter of this prophecy of Daniel.
178. The Plan of Hope & Salvation
Romans 3:23 NKJV
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 6:23a NKJV
23aFor the wages of sin is death,
Death in this life (the first death) is 100%. Even Jesus, the only one who doesn’t deserve death, died in this life to pay the penalty for our sins. The death referred to in Romans 6:23a is the second death explained in Revelation 21:8.
179. Revelation 21:8 NKJV
8“But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
Romans 6:23b NKJV
23bbut the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
180. Romans 5:8 NKJV
8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Revelation 21:7 NKJV
7“He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.”
Romans 10:9-10 explains to us how to accept Jesus as our Savior.
181. Romans 10:9-10 NKJV
9that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13 NKJV
13For “whoever calls on the name of the LORDshall be saved.”
