§ respects all existing standard

TC capabilities and enhanced location
§ integration with smart devices (IoT/M2M) or eCall
• IMS platform is fully integrated with all Telco network
elements (including legacy component) and existing PSAP,
as well as with NextGen PSAP

• End-to-end emergency communication call over any IP
access network (radio access, core)
• Not disrupt legacy calls from being delivered to the
correct PSAPs
• New set of communication methods to initiate an
emergency call (OTT, VoWiFi, VoLTE)
• Total Conversation during an emergency call (OTT case)
• Interoperability of PSAPs (Legacy and NG)
• Prioritise emergency services traffic

7. NEXES IMS System Evolution

• NEXES IMS is an important enabler for future
developments regarding emergency services:
§ By allowing roaming scenarios;
§ Providing a base for emergency communication inside
Smart Cities and between Smart vehicles
§ By adding interactive content – multi party conference
call and data exchange between several relevant
actors (e.g., citizens, PSAPs, EROs and FRs)
