This primer on social media for churches and ministry is a step by step guide in developing a SM strategy for churches seeking to get engaged with Social Media
For more than 11 years, Earthing research and feedback from individuals who have grounded themselves, primarily while sleeping at night, demonstrate a multitude of benefits. Here is a short list of them:
1. Improvement or elimination of the symptoms of many inflammation-related disorders
2. Reduction or elimination of chronic pain
3. Better sleep and faster to sleep, Normalized melatonin (sleep hormone) and cortisol (stress hormone) levels
4. Protection against potentially health-disturbing environmental electromagnetic fields (EMFs).
5. Lowered stress, more calmness by cooling down the nervous system and stress hormones
6. Normalization of the body's biological rhythms
7. Thinner blood, improved blood pressure and flow
8. Muscle tension and headache relief
9. Lessened hormonal and menstrual symptoms
10. Dramatically faster healing and reduction/prevention of bedsores
11. Reduction/elimination of jet lag
12. Increased energy
13. Accelerated recovery from intense athletic activity

This is a presentation I prepared for a joint solutions webinar with Readsoft on the topics of Forms Classification and Document Automation. The technology is amazing and very advanced. This type of technology enables computers to make automatic decisions that were traditionally made by humans. Obviously with classification technology organizations can save a lot of time by automating business process. Also, the organization can drastically decrease labor costs and have humans do more meaningful tasks.

Growing communities: How charity leaders govern social media globally to thri...Paul Thomas
I contributed to this over two years ago and the content is still hugely relevant, not just in the charity and non-profit sector, but to all businesses trying to get to grips with the impact of social media and our digital, connected world.
Many charities consider social media a key channel to deliver their communications and fundraising goals, although few incorporate it into their core strategy – a problem exacerbated by the social media knowledge gap at senior levels in charities worldwide.
Drawing on interviews with international charity leaders and Grant Thornton Not for Profit specialists, this report provides charity leaders with guidance on how they can enable their charity to take advantage of social media’s power to engage new communities and to thrive online.
Key findings
• Strategy: Organisational strategy should drive social media use, the board must help formulate this from a position of knowledge.
• Governance: The social media governance approach and guidelines should be shared with everyone in the organisation.
• Education and training: Formal education should be used at every level. Internal social networks can help people gain knowledge of social media.
• Risk: Social media non-engagement is a risk in itself, although costs must be weighed against benefits.
• Impact: It is vital to measure social media outcomes to justify investment; metrics should be linked to a strategic goal and monitored.

Growing communities: How charity leaders govern social media globally to thri...Grant Thornton
Many charities consider social media to be an important channel to deliver on their communications and fundraising goals. Some use social media to deliver services.
However, few incorporate social media as a core strategy to capitalise on its interactive opportunity to engage with new communities – at least not yet.
Social marketing uses the benefits of doing social good to secure customer engagement.
In social marketing the distinguishing feature is its "primary focus on social good”
It is not a secondary outcome.
Not all public sector and not-for-profit marketing is social marketing.
And Social marketing is a non-profit marketing.
Co-Creation Workshop with MAF Grantees, Delhi, IndiaM4ID Team
Documentation of the workshop with a host of MAF grantees working with women’s health and rights issues. The objective was to map digital technology and communication needs of these organisations. The day saw professionals from advocacy, communication and research backgrounds from organisations including Breakthrough, CEDPA-India, CHSJ, HAQCRC, ICRW, IPAS, MAF, MAMTA-HIMC, NFI, Population Council, PFI, TARSHI and the YP Foundation.
To paint a clearer picture, here’s a few examples of issues these organisations address: maternal and new born care, family planning, reproductive health and rights for adults and adoloscents, child health and child rights, girl child education, women’s skill development and employment, preventing violence against women, women’s safety etc.
