Mindfulness lesson #4 discusses mindful perception. It teaches that our thoughts and perceptions impact our feelings, and that cultivating positive thoughts and perceptions can improve our mood. The lesson discusses how we often have negative thoughts about ourselves and gives examples of positive affirmations we can use to turn negative thoughts into positive ones. It also has exercises where participants share negative perceptions with a partner and give each other positive affirmations in return to practice empathy and self-acceptance.
