In a Colombian public school class of 40 students, the teacher found it difficult to engage all of the students in foreign language learning. Only 3-4 students seemed interested in learning and participating. Activities like dice games and Parcheesi were fun at first but did not involve all of the students. Maintaining discipline also became a challenge. It is important to consider students' opinions and use games to encourage learning, but the teacher needs to maintain authority as the classroom leader. Breaking from traditional teaching methods and encouraging critical thinking can help students analyze topics in their own context. As a teacher, it is not enough to just teach subjects - students also need guidance on values like accepting differences.
