Why did Jesus have to die? The Law of God is the penalty of sin is death. God can not change this without changing Who He is. Jesus comes to each person offers to take their sin in exchange for His righteousness. He then had to die our punishment for sin so that we can receive the righteousness of God.

Ephesians 4:11-16 Sins that cripple the church. God wants us to be holy and without sin. Sin in the church spreads to others. We must separate ourselves from sinful influences. Sin cripples the church and keeps it from being effective.

Putting Acts 15 and Galatians 1-2 in ContextSteve Thomason
What do Acts 15 and the first two chapters of Galatians have in common? They both talk about the first big debate over ethnic identity in the church. Some of the early Christians said you had to be circumcised and assimilate into the Jewish culture in order to be a true disciple of Jesus. They debated the topic in Acts 15 in Jerusalem. The Apostle Paul was very opposed to this teaching. That's what he's talking about in his letter to the Galatians.
This PowerPoint will walk through the backstory of Paul's life in Acts in order to understand the context for Acts 15 and the letter to the Galatians. You can download this PowerPoint and image pack and use it for your own preaching and teaching. Use one slide, a few slides, or all of them. Whatever works for you.

Talk about God to friends and family and we're likely to hear: "If God is a God of Love, then God could never condemn a person to hell." Yet, to properly understand how both God's Love and God's Wrath are real propositions in the Bible, at some point in our lives, it is a good exercise to think biblically and logically about this idea.

Faith that saves is a working faith, we can't separate our faith from our works, there is a difference between works of the law and christian works, works are involved in our salvation, we will be judged by our works not our faith.

Foundation Stone #12: Eternal Judgment for All PeopleRick Bruderick
The Maker has a right to judge what He has made. God has the right to judge people, and He already has, at times in history. But the final Judgment Day is coming when all people who ever lived will be judged together.
What is our moral compass? Everyone has some theological moral compass. As a Christian, our moral compass should be the word of God. Many in the world use television, social media, the teachings of men, parents, or their college professor as their guideline for formulating their moral compass. How do Christians point the way to Christ and His word as a compass of right and wrong?

Slide 1: Title: Exploring the Mindfulness: Understanding Its Benefits
Slide 2: Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness, defined as the conscious, non-judgmental observation of the present moment, has deep roots in Buddhist meditation practice but has gained significant popularity in the Western world in recent years. In today's society, filled with distractions and constant stimuli, mindfulness offers a valuable tool for regaining inner peace and reconnecting with our true selves. By cultivating mindfulness, we can develop a heightened awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings, leading to a greater sense of clarity and presence in our daily lives.
Slide 3: Benefits of Mindfulness for Mental Well-being
Practicing mindfulness can help reduce stress and anxiety levels, improving overall quality of life.
Mindfulness increases awareness of our emotions and teaches us to manage them better, leading to improved mood.
Regular mindfulness practice can improve our ability to concentrate and focus our attention on the present moment.
Slide 4: Benefits of Mindfulness for Physical Health
Research has shown that practicing mindfulness can contribute to lowering blood pressure, which is beneficial for heart health.
Regular meditation and mindfulness practice can strengthen the immune system, aiding the body in fighting infections.
Mindfulness may help reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and obesity by reducing stress and improving overall lifestyle habits.
Slide 5: Impact of Mindfulness on Relationships
Mindfulness can help us better understand others and improve communication, leading to healthier relationships.
By focusing on the present moment and being fully attentive, mindfulness helps build stronger and more authentic connections with others.
Mindfulness teaches us how to be present for others in difficult times, leading to increased compassion and understanding.
Slide 6: Mindfulness Techniques and Practices
Focusing on the breath and mindful breathing can be a simple way to enter a state of mindfulness.
Body scan meditation involves focusing on different parts of the body, paying attention to any sensations and feelings.
Practicing mindful walking and eating involves consciously focusing on each step or bite, with full attention to sensory experiences.

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Editor's Notes
The story of Balaam and Balak
Balak might have wondered about the phrase, “The shout of a king is among them.” God was the invisible king that walked among the people of Israel and lead them into victory.
God was the invisible King of Israel but they cried out for, “A king for us to judge us like all the nations.”(verse 5)
The reason their King was among them against the Moabites was, “He has not observed misfortune in Jacob; Nor has He seen trouble in Israel.”Numbers 23:21. When Irael went into battle with the Philistines at Ebenezer, 4,000 Israelites were killed in battle. They thought taking the ark of God with them in battle would insure their victory.
The presence of symbols does not assure God's presence. They were defeated because of their sins; a holy God will not fight for unholy people. He never intended for the ark or the cross or any other symbol to be used as an amulet or lucky charm. The great invisible King is only with his people when they are with Him.
The great King Who lead Israel to victory fights for us today.
The great King had come to comfort their fears, to Shepard the sheep who had no Shepard, to heal all their ills and sicknesses.
When many of the disciples left because they could not understand the words of the King, Christ asked His apostles if they were also planning on leaving.
Today, the King sets on his throne beside the Father.
But we still fight the battle against the, “Prince of this world.”
The battle is now ours to fight!!!
Much was accomplished in the 1st century but how is the battle going today?
.
What about defections among the Lord's own?
Even in the ranks of the Lord's own army, many, like Demas have loved this present world and left the Lord, while others, like the Ephesian Christians, have simply left their first love (Rev. 2:4). Dispite the victorious battles won by Satan, the overall victory belongs to the Lord!
Besides the battle between the lord's church and the world, there is the daily one-on-one personal battle we fight against the temptations of Satan. We can't not afford to lose this battle since it would mean the lost of our soul troughout eternity!!!
The King there for our individual battles just as He was there for the battles of Israel!
What about the final battle we will be called upon to face when we struggle with death to pass from this life to the one that awaits us?
Those inside the walls of Jericho heard a great shout and the blowing of the trumpet of God. The walls that they had relied upon for protection fell down around them. Those standing on the outside of the walls were victorious. On the last day, where will be standing when we hear the shout and the blowing of the trumpet of God?
