Agape love (verb) or Agapo love (noun) is the love that God has for his son, the love that Jesus has for us and the love that he wants us to have for others. God's love is unconditional, sacrificial and essential to Christians.

John 3:1-5. A New Life In Christ. In the new life we have been born again. In the new life we are a new creation. In the new life we crucify the flesh with its passions and desires. In the new life we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. In the new life we are renewed by the Holy Spirit. In the new life we are dead to sin but alive to God. In the new life we are washed from our sins. in the new life we put to death the old man and put on the new man. In the new life we died and our life is hidden with Christ in God. In the new life we were brought back from death in sin.
It is common to refer to the process of maturing as a disciple as spiritual formation. Here, based upon work by Greg Ogden, I give a four stage process for growing into maturity, and fruitfulness, as a follower of King Jesus.
“Being used by God
is not confined to pastors, preachers or teachers. Anybody can be an instrument
in God's hands.”
God can use anybody, believer or nonbeliever.
The fruit of the spirit is joy. Paul’s letter tto the Philippians teaches us that real joy is not dependent on our circumstances, but on being in a right relationship with our Lord Jesus and with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
In this lesson we define unity and show from the scriptures that God desires and demands unity. We also show what God has done so that we could be united with Him as well as things that war or oppose unity. Both audio and slides can be found together at www.cmcoc.org
Sermon by: Brian Birdow
This sermon will focus on two key Pauline texts. In 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 Paul gives us some general instructions in demolishing strongholds by using God's means. In Ephesians 2 he identifies 3 strongholds by name, the world, the flesh and the devil.
Tomorrow we are starting a new series of study:
“The New Man” is a seminar that will focus on the spirit of man, its soul and its body.
We will learn the properties of each one of these three parts of man.
Our spirit is called to be the ruling part of us, actually, our spirit is the main part of our being, and is the place where the spirit of God dwells in.
We meet in Room #3 at CTF Toronto Wednesdays from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. I invite you to come and participate with us in this discovery of how to let our spirit become the ruler of our life.

Unconditional Love talk delivered by Shane and Andrea Fell at the Young Couples Fellowship at Elmbrook Church in Brookfield, Wisconsin. April 10, 2010.
The last example of righteousness that exceeds the Scribes and the Pharisees is that of love. In this lesson, we’ll examine more deeply what it means that God is love using the example of Hosea.
Pastor Lionel Rattenbury shares on the vision of Hope Church 2508. The church that we see has hundreds of families growing to become mature followers of Jesus Christ.
The church we see has hundreds of families growing to become mature followers of Jesus Christ. We are a church that loves God, loves others, connects people with God and grows people.
Learning to love and accept others starts with understanding that God love us and accepts us as we are. When we truly understand this we can be free to be ourselves. When we blow it we say sorry, repent and receive God's forgiveness. When we live this way it is easy to understand that other people are not perfect either.
Overcoming worry by trusting in the character of GodLionel Rattenbury
Trusting in God and becoming dependant upon him is one of the important keys to living in God's perfect peace. Pastor Lionel Rattenbury shares about how we can trust in the character of God.

Mercy - Jesus taught his disciples how they are to live as Christians. He said that if they wanted to follow him they are to exercise mercy rather than revenge. They were to exercise grace, humility, mercy, forgiveness and generosity.
What Jesus said about divorce. He actually taught about God's perfect plan for man and woman. They would live together as one. But how do we live out God's perfect plan in an imperfect world with imperfect people
Mans way of dealing with issues of anger is to deal with the outward actions, Anger management looks at strategies to deal with anger when it arises, Jesus deals with the heart.
Jesus told his disciples that they were the salt of the earth & the light of the world. He would tell Christians today that the same message. Christians must let God's life, light and love shine out of them.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

2. “You have heard that it was
said, ‘Love your
neighbor and hate your
enemy.’ But I tell you, love
your enemies and pray for
those who persecute
you, that you may be children
of your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:43-48
3. He causes his sun to rise on
the evil and the good, and
sends rain on the righteous
and the unrighteous.
4. If you love those who love you,
what reward will you get? Are
not even the tax collectors
doing that? And if you greet
only your own people, what are
you doing more than others? Do
not even pagans do that? Be
perfect, therefore, as your
heavenly Father is perfect.
5.
6. I tell you, love your enemies
and pray for those who
persecute you, that you may
be children of your Father in
heaven.
Matthew 5:44
7.
8. This is how we know what love
is: Jesus Christ laid down his
life for us. And we ought to lay
down our lives for our brothers
and sisters. If anyone has
material possessions and sees a
brother or sister in need but has
no pity on them, how can the
love of God be in that person?
1 John 3:16-18
9. Dear children, let us not love
with words or speech but
with actions and in truth.
1 John 3:16-18 continued
10.
11. “A new command I give you:
Love one another. As I have
loved you, so you must love
one another. By this
everyone will know that you
are my disciples, if you love
one another.”
John 13:34-35
12. God is love, and all who live in
love live in God, and God lives in
them. And as we live in God, our
love grows more perfect. So we
will not be afraid on the day of
judgment, but we can face him
with confidence because we live
like Jesus here in this world.
1 John 4:16-17
13. We love each other because
he loved us first.
If someone says, “I love
God,” but hates a Christian
brother or sister, that person
is a liar…
1 John 4:19-20
14. If I speak in the tongues of men
or of angels, but do not have
love, I am only a resounding
gong or a clanging cymbal. If I
have the gift of prophecy and
can fathom all mysteries and all
knowledge, and if I have a faith
that can move mountains, but do
not have love, I am nothing..
1 Corinthians 13:1-8 continued
15. If I give all I possess to the
poor and give over my body
to hardship that I may
boast, but do not have love, I
gain nothing...
1 Corinthians 13:1-8 Continued
16. Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not
boast, it is not proud. It does
not dishonor others, it is not
self-seeking, it is not easily
angered, it keeps no record
of wrongs.
1 Corinthians 13:1-8 Continued
17. Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth. It
always protects, always
trusts, always hopes, always
perseveres.
Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:1-8 Continued
